I ordered 2 units at once and received both. Packaging was good enough, that when I noticed that one of the boxes had a tear in it from shipping, that none of the packed items were damaged. Unpacking the Audio Tower from the packaging was simple and included was very easy to read instructions. Assembly took roughly an hour, because I took my time laid everything out in my workspace and assembled the tower slowly. The 2nd one took well under half an hour to fully assemble. Assembly requires 2 people for several steps, and basic hand tools. The included hardware is high quality and installs into the pre-cut holes perfectly. The Engineering behind this unit must have been well though out, and it shows during and after assembly. The Door hinges are my only gripe regarding the hardware/assembly as one of them took several tries to get the placement and power to screw into the wood. The placement of the door hinges limits the space on the bottom shelf, but only if you have very large equipment. The wood itself is standard MDF boards with a (for the one I ordered) mat black lacquer that wraps over the wood. The wood at the base of the unit is double thick, and is very sturdy. Once assembled, the finished Audio Tower looks impressive, sleek, and blends with all of the rest of my furniture. It easily holds two XBOX ONE X's, an Onkyo TX-RZ 800 Receiver (This is a very large receiver) with roughly an inch of clearance between either side, an 8 port switch, 2 controllers, 2 headsets, and other connectors, games etc. The back piece that is included is thin and removable if you require more airflow. At some point I plan on adding in active cooling in the form of a couple 120mm fans as my equipment does get warm inside the Audio Tower, but not warm enough to cause any worry. Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes. I will actually be getting the TV stand to match at some point as well. 9.5/10 ... show more

Wanted a nice simple audio cabinet for my simple Amplifer/Receiver & Record player set up set up so I ordered this as this seemed to be the only thing I could find that fit the bill. Got it very quickly and undamaged and was easy to assemble. Nice and sturdy as well, well for what it is. It is flat pack particle board furniture like IKEA stuff but it’s priced accordingly, and I’m reviewing it as such. The only downside was that the shelf holes did not allow sufficient space for me to put records in the cabinet vertically. So I got out a pencil, a 3/16 drillbit, and a level to make sure I was plumb and made some new ones. Very happy now bottom small shelf now stashed my headphones and manual, and my new record shelf does it’s job! I’m not taking off any stars because it never claimed to do what I wanted to use it for. ... show more

    • Modern AV Cabinet with Simple Appearance

I was looking for a rather specific cabinet for my components to sit under a wall mounted TV. It could not be too tall or too wide, but needed to be wide and deep enough to contain my receiver and its wiring. I wanted it to have some concealed areas, but also have windows so that IR remotes would work. It also needed to have a relatively open back for ventilation. On top of that, it needed to have a modern appearance and be a color that worked with my other furniture. This pretty much ticked all the boxes. It came very well packed and sustained no damage in shipping- good job Nexera. Assembly was straightforward and the instructions were easy to follow. Only 4 stars, since I'm not crazy about the legs- would have preferred something with a bit more style to break up the slab of wood appearance when viewed from the side. Also, while there are adjustable feet on each corner, it's still a little wobbly and when it wobbles, the door gets off alignment. I did not take any stars off for materials, since I knew what I was buying, but it's not fine furniture. ... show more

Excellent audio cabinet for my surroundsound theater. What I love most about this cabinet is it’s very sturdy the front has a metal field trip with class. Does not look cheap at all. The instructions were easy to assemble them was delivered and probably one of the best packaging that I have seen. Sturdy strong and stylish. Product had some cosmetic damage but I covered up with some black electrical tape. Easy to assemble and looks great. Just the right size to fit my receiver, subwoofer, etc. I didn't install the glass. This is my second unit (first one was purchased more than 5 years ago) because the latches that secure the glass aren't secure and it is safety issue. The last unit's glass fell off after a few years when closing. But glass isn't necessary in my case. Looks just as good and better ventilation without it. ... show more
