These NPET skateboards are not bad, not bad at all. The wheels are soft so rough asphalt or pebble stone is not a problem. The trucks are ok and do their job, but grinds/stalls on curbs tear them up pretty quick. The hardware they ship with are short, so upgrades (pads, risers, new trucks, etc.) will required new longer bolts. The bearings are not the best, but far from the worst. The deck is standard popsicle with a good degree of concave. The wood is not the greatest and chips pretty easily on failed tricks. The grip tape is sufficient and has stood up to ollies, pop shoves, and kickflips without rubbing off, but it is flaking off on the nose and tail due to failed flips. The bushings are squishy and require a lot of tightening (and retightening). All and all, these are pretty good cheap boards that little ones can learn on (and work on) before moving up to a pro board with a better setup. ... show more

I have ordered this board twice now, to give as a gift. Both times the hoard arrived damaged. As this is a gift, I would like for it to be new and let them put the wear and tear on it. Would it be possible to get it in new condition by my third try?

Good to see if your kid will like skateboarding but they will quickly need a new one if they take to it. My son is 9 and this is great for him. The problem is that as he goes to skateparks and tries new tricks the board just isn’t holding up to normal use. The ends are cracking and chipping. Overall, good for an intro board. ... show more

The reviews said this was a good board and the wheels turned well. It got here and I gave them a spin....was nervous as they didn't just spin for days. Was a gift for our 8 yo son. He loved it when he opened it, and when he took it outside to ride we held out breaths. Turns out that it was just what we ordered.
