When I was looking for temperature changing LED strip lights that were around 40 feet long (yes, very specific, but that's why I was looking around) I stumbled across this LED strip. It is nice and bright and the remote can control it no matter where you point which is also a plus. I was really looking for something like this ALSO with RGB, but I found that this was good. I really wish it was USB powered, but I do understand that when it comes to this many LED's and the fact that they are bright that it is preferred to go with a standard barrel connector. The only thing I wish was better was the adhesive, because I stuck it on my wall and after a couple of days it started peeling off and drooping, also I had 1 single yellower colored LED that just didn't (not much of an issue). I do want to make it clear that my wall is textured and the box does say not to put it on textured walls which is why I didn't really knock it down points for that. I just used some other sticky tape and it did the trick just fine. If you need 40 feet of LED's or whatever the other options are, I would recommend these light because they are also easy to set up. ... show more

We don't have any overhead light in our bedroom and have been using a table lamp on the floor. It has sucked. We finally decided to figure something else out. We thought about floor lamps or sconces, but they wouldn't really work great in our space. We even considered paying to install recessed lighting. I started thinking we could put a light strip up since it could plug into the outlet controlled by the switch, and would fit well. I found this one that is dimmable and color temp adjustable, with a remote. We haven't even fully installed it yet because our walls are textured and we need some mounting brackets, but we have it taped up for now and we love it. Our whole room is lit up, finally! I love how bright it is and that I can adjust the color at night. Second pic is warmest and dimmest (ignore the tape we are using to keep it up). ... show more

I put this under the edge of some home-built cabinets. I varnished the doors and sides, but not the interiors and undersurfaces of the cabinets, so the strip does adhere to unfinished, but smooth, plywood. I love that it is both dimmable and tunable as to warm/cold light. The remote means I can turn it on and off from the door to my workshop without turning on all the overhead lights or stumbling through the dark to a switch. I don't recall reading anywhere, but after ordering one of each type for testing, I found the waterproof ones are way brighter and have 2-3 times the number of LEDs on them. They are amazingly bright and great under my kitchen cabinets. I wish they could dim a tad more, the nightlight setting is still a tad too bright to serve as a true nightlight, but they're awesome otherwise. They pair nicely together with one remote and really do work through walls and at any angle. I did not use the adhesive and left the adhesive backing on, instead clipping them up with clips I found on Amazon. I have nothing but positive things to say about these. I continued to have problems with Lepro so I switched to this brand which has been much better. A couple weeks in, the stickiness seems to be a problem so you may want to add a little something when installing. Also, every strand is on its own unique remote so I linked them all to smart plugs and then into Alexa for my store. ... show more

    • Easy to use strip. Good connectors can make or break an installation.

Worked wonderfully. Ended up getting two sets so that I could have two separate runs, controlled by different switches. There is a very slight lag between when the switch turns the strips on to when the controller turns on the lights. But the controller does remember its last setting and the tunability of the lights is a wonderful feature. Get good connectors for when you cut the strips. That was a hard lesson trying to figure that out. ... show more

I placed them on a valence in the living room for some hidden lighting. It really looks good. I cut them to length as per instructions and stuck them down. They totally hide but provide very nice indirect lighting. The ability to change from daylight to warm lighting and also dim them makes it a good addition.
