I like this lil gadget it works well in under 12-15 minutes you will have some flavorable hotdogs the top bun steamer only fits like 2 buns at a time, it takes about 10-15 seconds to have them warm and soft. It’s a small nice size for a counter top and it’s cute 🤗

I really enjoy my hot dog steamer. The hot dogs came out perfectly cooked along with perfectly steamed buns. The hot dogs were reminiscent of the time I was in New York and had hot dogs from a hot dog cart. Some of the best hot dogs I ever had. My entire family all had wow moments as we bit in. On the negative side the unit seems flimsy, its plastic. Its easy to use but because of the steam it gets hot so keep little ones away. A true review of a product comes when you compare it to alternative ways to cook a hot dog. Most of us probably had hot dogs cooked in a microwave. Just stop doing that. Those hot dogs end up having all flavor zapped out of them. Boiling a hot dog in water ends up with water logged hot dogs that are tasteless. A method we all have used at one time or another the BBQ grill. Hot dogs cooked over charcoals or even wood chips come out crispy in areas and look like other areas were spared the flames. These tasty hot dogs rate in 3rd place or tied for because gas also cooks in a similar fashion with a slight difference in taste. Hots on a griddle is another popular way to make hot dogs. This is usually found in diners or now thanks to lower prices in many homes. Hot dogs can sometimes taste a little greasy. The only method I've found that came close to the hot dog steamer was the hot dog roller. Like the steamer its very affordable. Hot dogs cook up plump, evenly cooked, extremely tasty. My family was divided on which they liked best, the steamed or the rollers. I was the deciding vote. The steamer won out. The hot dog roller was much more difficult to clean. The steamer cleaned up fast. It was more compact compared to the roller. The steamer cooked up more hot dogs then the roller did and the roller couldn't handle the buns. I really like this unit and give it top marks for taste, ease of cleaning, ease of use (its very intuitive), and its not a space hog. Soooo let me explain that I did exactly what was on the instructions and it says 15-20 minutes on high …. Well guess what. It’s NOT 20 minutes because them suckers almost exploded. If you go with 10-15 minutes they’re perfect. But this bad boy definitely gives you the BANG for your buck as them suckers are gonna expand wayyyy past their intended purpose. But overall 5 outta 5. Also, the bun warmer is epic. Them bad boys were hotttttttt ... show more
