I was leaving town for 3 weeks and I was a bit nervous. It did great. And still had enough power to last 2weeks after I was back. I let it run to test the battery life. I did test it out on my desk to see how much food would come out so I could adjust. Has a nice adjustable door on the drum you open or close the amount of food you desire. These automatic feeders work and are the only ones I have found with the option of feeding every other day. I like to use the 48 hour interval, this helps with not overfeeding. Test it out over a plate or tray to get your portion just right, program barrel turns + feed interval and once mounted on the tank it does the rest. Several times I have needed to use (2) of them for a 180 gallon tank, including almost a month away in one stretch and the fish were fed without worry. First time I purchased an automatic fish feeder and was pleased with it. Tried it a few days before going away so I could adjust the opening as needed. Would suggest dong this. I broke up the fish food flakes as suggested. Pellets may be better but I didn’t want to change what my fish were use to eating. ... show more

Decent quality -the issue we had was that it feeds too much at a time-we messed with it and taped it to try and reduce the amount but it just overfed each time!
