  • HEAVY An update....
Size: 24.75 IN
Just make sure you have someone to help you with the box if you aren't very strong. I had to bring it up two flights of stairs to my apt. I won't soon forget the experience. It is VERY heavy and a big long box. I'll add more when I have assembled it. I wish I had paid more attention to the weight. I guess it's a good sign that it's a heavy product as it has to be big heavy and sturdy to hold a 20 gallon tank. I hope this story has a good ending. UPDATE: I'm having a terrible time putting this together. Directions recommends two people to assemble. It's very difficult as I'm discovering, to do it on my own. I can't get the bolts to screw in as the holes for them to screw are so big and very deep. I wish I had help or a help line to call. I bought two and through away the packaging so I can't return it. They way a ton so I'd even have a hard time getting them to a UPS store. I'm so disappointed. I am going to try again tomorrow. I have TWO so I have wasted over $100 if I don't get them put together. There should be a video to help people or a hotline with nice people to help their customers. Has anyone else had the same problem I have had with the bolts? Okay so here's an update. My back is healed and I finally got to try to assemble the two of these aquarium stands. 1) I had a hard time figuring out how to screw the long bolts into this small ovalish riveted piece. FINALLY it dawned on me to put these riveted pieces INSIDE the hole...and THEN screw the long bolts into the hole. They will then screw into this riveted bolt and be safe and securely bolted in. There are MANY of these bolts to screw in. 2) The instructions are not too bad so the only issue I had was to figure out which end was top and which bottom. Not for long though. Also, as I mentioned in 1) the little oval riveted bolts is the one step that I have never seen before in assembling. Once you get this figured out you are home free! 3) The instructions say recommended to assemble this with two people. I am 71 yrs old with arthritis and I assembled it alone...however it took me 4 hrs. This is a HEAVY piece. The wood is very dense and it is a somewhat large piece. I also have a small apt. and I just remained calm and I was okay putting it together in a small place and figuring out exactly I needed to do step by step. If you get frustrated just quit until you are calm even if it takes postponing assembly the next day. 4) You will be provided with a teeny little wrench for which to screw in MANY MANY bolts. It hurt my fingers after an hour or so. I wanted the bolts in nice and tight so it really did hurt my fingers. 5) A few bolts would not screw in. For some reason they would not screw in tight...just around and around and around. I wanted the bolts to be held in tight but a few just never did. At some point I tried different bolts and different riveted pieces and eventually some of the bolts did screw in okay. Others I had to screw in the bolts after I put some super glue inside the hole. I was rather desperate and it did the trick. It was only a few of the bolts and I believe the stand will be secure enough to use. 6) I am using the stand to hold my 5 and maybe 7 gallon tank. I am not sure if I would put a 20 gallon tank on this piece...but I am extremely careful and maybe too careful. To summarize: Although I felt it took a long time to figure out the method of screwing in the largest bolts and as I explained the small ovalish riveted pieces are to be placed into the hole the instructions point to...THEN screw in the long bolts in and they will screw into the riveted pieces inside the hole and you'll have a tight bolt fit. The little tool to screw in the bolts is VERY small and I kept dropping it. For the price I expect this is an okay tool but a bit difficult to hold onto but not impossible. It did the job it was supposed to do even though it hurt my fingers after awhile and since it is small I kept dropping it. Assembled it is a very attractive and sturdy to my taste for a 5 or 10 gallon aquarium. Some people that are more used to 20 gallon aquariums might go for the stand and not be hesitant to set it on this shelf. I am VERY satisfied with the stand. It's very attractive and made of very dense wood. The finish is a dark color and I think it will go even with my taste which is antique and for other people who enjoy more modern taste in furniture and decor. I tried to explain the difficulty I had figuring out how to use the riveted pieces with the longest bolts. Once I did the rest of the assembly went really well. I wish someone had offered this tip as it was a bit annoying not knowing how to do it. I would recommend this stand as being a great piece especially for the price. There was some rocks in the road in my experience of assembling it...but I was able to figure it out. It would be a lot easier an experience to assemble it with a helper...but I did it by myself and I am 71 yrs old as I said, and I did it by myself. I can't wait to get my tanks placed on it and it is a great feeling to have assembled it myself. I'm glad I purchased it. I am super proud that I stuck with it and now have the 2 stands. They are made of quality material and sturdy I docked only one star because I didn't like the teeny tool for reasons I mentioned but hey...for the price it did the trick. Just a little bit of problems with it but it did the job it was supposed to. I think you will enjoy the stand very much. ... show more

  • Best Stand Ever!
Size: 24.75 IN
I honestly LOVE this product. It is so stylish, sturdy, and affordable. It took exactly 34 minutes from the time I opened the package to putting the last bolt in to assemble it. The instructions were a bit intimidating at first, but I was able to figure it out by taking it one step at a time. It also recommended to have two people, but I was able to put it together just fine by myself. If you're looking for a 20 gallon stand for a good price, this is definitely worth purchasing. I am actually using the stand for a 10 gallon tank on top and a 3.5 gallon tank on bottom. I will upload pictures when I am able to transfer the tanks. Note: You will not be able to put a 20 gallon long tank on it. If the stand itself seems unsteady, double check that the bolts are tightened, and make sure you have all of the pieces facing the right way. For example, I messed up the sides of the stand and did not have them facing each other. This made it difficult to screw in. Once I took a step back and realized what I had done, it was smooth sailing from there. You should not have to force any of the screws into the stand. There are little bolts that you put in to help keep the screws in place. Make sure that when you put them in, you align the holes of the bolt correctly, so you do not have to try and force the screws in or have to take them out, because trust me, those are a pain to get out, especially when you have the rest of the screws in tightly. ... show more

  • Great stand
Size: 24.75 IN
Great stand. A bit wobbly on wooden floors but does the job. Perfect fit for my 20 gal tank. Be careful with your children because they will try to shake the tank. Once tank is filled with water it becomes more stabilized. Looks nice. Goes great with my dark brown wooden theme.

  • Works for 10 gallon aquarium
Size: 24.75 IN
Nice stand for a 10 gallon aquarium. Easy to put together, has storage space, lightweight, and adjustable "feet" so you can level it. Material is definitely NOT waterproof - I read some reviews before buying and saw that some people had covered the top level (that aquarium sits on) with shelf/drawer lining, to protect the wood. I did this and it seems to be working well so far. I wouldn't put a 20 gallon on this, but I'd maybe go up to a 15 gallon tank. Works perfectly for my 10 gallon aquarium though. ... show more

  • Very sturdy and easy to build
Size: 24.75 IN
i love this stand! I use it for my ten gallon tank and it works great! It’s very sturdy and easy to put together. It took me less than 30 minutes to do it! It makes my room look so much better as well! I bought baskets to go on the shelves to keep my aquatic needs looking neat. I don’t really like that its wooden just because the wood could warpe if water gets on it but I do love the extra shelves that i couldn’t find on metal ones so I feel this was a better stand anyways. All of the parts came with it which was great. I was a little worried about it. ... show more

  • Great product!
Size: 24.75 IN
I’ve had this stand for a while now and I love it. I originally had my 10 gallon tank on top for my fish and it looked great on top of the stand, but I since then moved my fish elsewhere and didn’t want my 10 gallon to go to waste or my stand so I got some hermit crabs and at the time I did not have a cover for my crabs and did not want my cats to be naughty so I found that the 10 gallon fits perfectly snug on the second shelf and I actually love the way it looks. Now this stand is both a hermit crabs stand and A nice lounge for my cats to sit on top to hang out. It was super easy to set up and I set it alone and it’s built extremely well and sturdy it is also really easy to move around on my floor and not heavy at all. This is a great little stand! ... show more
