  • Bright Light
I really like this light. It is very bright and has several modes you can toggle in order to get the effect you want. It is compact and easily slides onto the back of my seat pouch. I really like the fact that it has a small catch on the inside of the attachment slide to prevent it from getting bounced off. Not many lights have this, and I have lost a few because of going over rough terrain. It also comes with an elastic band to attach to your seat post. A single charge only lasts about 3 hours so if you need longer time, get a light with a bigger battery ... show more

  • Bright, easy to install, easy to recharge
One of my goals as a bicyclist is not to be killed by a car, and to that end, I want to be lit up like a Christmas tree when it's dark outside. I had a tail light of about 70 lumens, which seemed bright, but road testing it showed that it was not quite bright enough. This light is 250 lumens and it has a nice, eye-catching blinking pattern (among others) which makes it very easy to see. I like being seen while I'm on my bike, and this light does the trick. Heads up, it takes a while to recharge, a couple of hours, but it lets you know when the battery needs to be recharged by blinking blue/white instead of red as you turn it off. Pretty easy. ... show more

  • Helps with daylight visability
We actually use this light in combination with 2 other rear lights to help with visibility as we ride on road bike lanes. Good blinking option, easy to turn on/off, easy to charge. My only complaint is that I wish it came with better mounting options. I have a smaller frame bike with less seat step available so need to mount it horizontally - and my Specialized seat post is a D-shaped post so I need more length for the strap. As a result I have jerry-rigged a mount with old parts from other bike accessories. ... show more

  • Very bright, hard to use if you have a trunk bag on your bike.
The mount is intended for seatposts or seat tubes. Neither of which is good for my 54cm commuter with a trunk bag and fenders. I made a bracket from a reflector mount and bolted it to the back of my Blackburn rack which works. The light is made for sport bikes or big frame bikes. There should be a clip for attaching to your bag. That being said, it's stunningly bright, easy to use and stays attached to its clip (important). The monting thing is a problem with many taillights. The battery life is good. ... show more

  • Weak battery
The light is bright and mounts to the seat post very well. The issue is that it turns off unexpectedly during the ride. Battery life is an issue with this latest one - I returned a previous unit which turned off when the battery was still strong.

  • This is a great light
I have been using NiteRider lights for over 28 years and they have all been cutting edge technology. I have seen some complaints on the light coming off during a ride, I can see how the clamp could be installed upside down and then not allow the light to lock into the mount. Look at the mount and light carefully before you install and make sure it is right side up, if so the light will not come out unless it hits something like a tree branch. All bets are off it you run into a branch as any light will likely come off, ... show more

  • Good price for a BRIGHT light
I was pleased with the brightness - you can't miss it. When cycling I like being lit up like the Rockefeller Christmas tree. Came too close to being hit before.
