    • Extremely versatile, quick pre-heat, space-saving
This appliance is a main staple in my cooking routine now - it is extremely versatile, easy to use, easy to clean, and space-saving. The only mode I've not used is dehydrate. It's simple enough for my teen son to use - and clean up after himself (!) when he wants a quick snack. Aside from the fact that I don't have to lug this out of a storage cabinet (like I did with my older and bulkier and heavier air fryer), my favorite aspect of this is the fast time to pre-heat. Our regular oven doesn't work, so we were using our convection microwave for oven things. It was taking up to 10 minutes to pre-heat the convection oven, where the Ninja takes less than a minute for most settings. The Ninja is wider than our microwave and just as tall inside, giving me more cooking opportunities. I have had to adjust the cook time on a few things, as it works faster than our convection oven, but that's a small price to pay for such a well-designed unit. This would be great for apartments. I recommend getting the tray liners, as they are great for catching drips, making cleanup even easier. Just.Plain.Awesome. ... show more

    • The best countertop oven ever!
As a Vine reviewer, I've had access to try a LOT of different air fryer ovens over the past couple of years. I've always been on the hunt for that perfect multifunctional device that I could use for most anything, and every attempt until now has been a failure. This particular oven is SO much more than it appears. First of all, the flip-up design of the oven is such a winner. When the oven's not in use, simply flip it up and out of the way and regain all of that lost countertop space. It easily flips down when you need to use it. This oven includes the searing plate, which works perfectly for everything I've tried. I did some ribeye steaks in this, and they turned out perfect. It takes longer for the searing plate to heat up, but the system tells you when it's ready to use. Speaking of heating up... if you're using the Air Bake feature, expect to wait 1-2 minutes until it's ready to go. Yep, this heats up faster than anything I've tried. It bakes evenly... while it's not very deep, you can bake a cake in it and it comes out perfectly baked. I use it for almost everything. My biggest complaint is that it's not as deep as I would like, as the depth prevents you from using it for some things. Roasting a whole chicken is likely not an option unless the bird is really small. I honestly didn't expect much from the Air Fryer feature... I've found that the best air fryers usually have the fan at the top of the unit blowing downward, while the fan in this unit is on the side. However, I've used this repeatedly as an Air Fryer and I can state that it actually browns more evenly than any other air fryer I've tried. By the way, this thing is nearly silent! In Air Fry mode you can barely hear the fan operating, but at any other time it's almost completely silent. The case of the unit does heat up when it's in use, but not nearly as much as the other ovens I've tried. Cleaning the unit is easy. I've been amazed at how easily it wipes out. I had a pizza that dripped cheese onto the heating elements, and I expected a nightmare to clean it once it cooled. However, a few quick swipes and it was as good as new; totally unexpected. The reviews don't lie, this is a winner and I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I've retired all of the other air fryers and countertop ovens to the basement and I would prefer to use this any day over my built-in KitchenAid Architect series oven. ... show more

    • I can’t say enough
I can’t say enough about the functionality of this Ninja. I have purchased so many air fryers over the last year-and-a-half trying to find one that was useful, easy to use and clean, and worth the price. This unit checks all my boxes. I have been able to use the air fry, bake, reheat, and frozen pizza settings so far and love them all. I will say that there is a learning curve for each setting even if you’ve used an air fryer before. This is my first Ninja multi-purpose unit so it may be similar to previous models but I have no experience with that. I have had to test different temperatures to see which works best for whatever I’m cooking and often get it wrong the first time and have to remove the item prior to the cycle finishing or adding more time, so with that I’d say it’s a little more complicated to use than a traditional basket air fryer which usually has limited settings and options. I know this will get better over time as most of us tend to make the same, or similarly cooked foods, often. I absolutely love the fact that this flips up leaving a good amount of open counter space when not in use. And I looks very nice. I have even decided to get one for my older father who has trouble using a large, full size oven for just himself. I definitely recommend anyone to buy this and if anyone is on the fence about spending the money, then do it. It’s worth it. ... show more

I've got a tiny kitchen in my townhome, and this has been the perfect fryer that I've been able to use without taking up a ton of space! The sear plate is perfect for getting a good sear on food all while cooking quickly (see picture of boneless pork chops). I've been able to cook a 12" pizza in 9 minutes (where instructions state 14-16 minutes), and everything else I've done has been a breeze. There are a couple of cons. Mainly, it's very hard to clean internally. There is a drip plate on the bottom which helps, but getting in to clean the rest of it isn't easy. Thankfully I've found that cleaning it once it cools down (if needed) doesn't take too long. It doesn't toast on both sides well. I didn't buy this to use as a toaster... but just seems like it could do better with it. This is the only function I've found that doesn't seem to work as well as it could. All the others I've used are great! Is it the best air fryer out there? Maybe not... but for what I use it for and to be able to utilize less counter space, it's perfect! ... show more
