I had the tent set up in 5-6 minutes! Easy to use with straight forward assembly. The stakes are definitely for casual use; any windy environments will require thicker/sturdier stakes but, for a quick, calm overnight trip, the included stakes were fine. I would say the one-person tent is very large - closer to a 1.5 person size. Plenty of room for a full cot, backpack, water jug, hiking boots, handheld lantern, and camp shoes with room to spare. There is a hook in the center of the tent where I hung a light/fan combo. I didn't use the rain fly so the air stayed comfortable in the tent especially with a little bit of circulation. I can't vouch for the waterproof ability since it hasn't been in any storms/rain yet. The rain fly is also very tiny; it literally only covers the mesh ventilation on top of the tent. Any blowing rains would probably risk coming in the mesh. ... show more

    • Perfect Low-Cost Backpack Tent

This is such an awesome product for campers on a budget like me. I haven't tested it out myself yet, but my DOG sure has! She slept in it for three nights while I was away from home because I couldn't bring her along and I don't have a dog house. The tent is super easy to setup; it only has two poles. It sheds water just like it should. It comes with some cord so you can tie it down to the ground to prevent it from getting blown away in the wind. You get a mesh window on the door, and you can keep the door flaps open and out of the way with the attached latch thingys. I think it's fairly obvious, but I'll say it anyway. This is not for snow/extreme cold. No duh. But it's perfect for anything else. One point of interest is the "rainfly". It is not not fully cover the tent. The rainfly is a small tarp that covers the mesh on the roof. I recommend setting up a tarp above the tent in a flying configuration. You will deflect quite a lot of heat this way. With no extra tarp above the tent, I suspect it would get extraordinarily hot inside. Another thing to mention is the poles. They are made of fiberglass, which is not the lightest material ever. And a teeny-tiny piece of it must have cracked off and lodged itself in my palm, because the first time I assembled the tent, I had a stabbing pain in the hand that I used to handle the fiberglass pole. It has mot happened since, so I still recommend this tent. Just don't rub your skin on the poles too much. If you have carbon fiber tent poles that happen to be the right length, just use those instead. Anyway, I digress. Great tent. Packs down small. Easy setup. Incredible price. Enough room for two people to sleep intimately, so I don't recommend sharing the tent. I would call it a 1 person tent. ... show more

Bought this tent to use for moto-camping and needed something that packs up small enough to fit into pannier bags. This thing packs up super small and sets up into a nice spacious one person tent. I was able to fit a back pack and plenty of other belongings if needed on the side of me at least a little over a foot of room after fitting a larger one person Trekology air mattress inside. The tent poles definitely don't have a lot of give and I can see why people have snapped them. Just don't force them to bend and work the tent material around them the first few times while setting up the tent. The material seems to stretch out a little which helps make the set up easier. The stakes that are included are basically worthless if you're not camping in fresh grass, they will bend way too easily. I ended up having to run and snag some Coghlan's aluminum tent stakes which made a HUGE difference. The tent itself is very well made and roomy for one, holds heat quite well. Didn't have a chance to test it out in the rain to see how it holds, but all the seams look to be sealed quite well from the inside of the tent. When I received the tent in the mail, the rain fly was damaged so I reached out to Night Cat support. They were very responsive and sent me a replacement quickly so A+ on their customer service. The tent itself seems good and lightweight which is what I was looking for. Can't beat it for the price if you want something inexpensive to throw on the back of your motorcycle like I intend to.     • Poor Build Quality, Broke First Use

The tent is pretty spacious for a single person and is definitely lightweight an easy to assemble. However the build quality is very poor. I took it out one single time, and woke up with water pooling on the inside floor and wet walls/ceiling. This was near the coast and completely from humidity, it was a completely clear night with no rain. It is not remotely waterproof despite the manufacturer’s false claim. Upon disassembling the tent for the very first time, the elastic holding one of the poles together immediately snapped so I am now left with a completely broken and unusable product despite hardly ever using it and treating it with care. ... show more
