  • Great Elliptical. Sturdy and well built.
Style: Smart Elliptical CT11PRO
TL;DR: CT11Pro - Great elliptical, built sturdy, easy assembly, quiet and smooth. You should consider it. We purchased the CT11Pro as my wife is tall and wanted the longer 18 inch stride that it provides. First for all the good things - It was easy to assemble and comes with the tools you need. I assembled it by myself but you'll have to be careful with getting it out of the box if you don't have help. It works very smoothly and quietly and the stride is great. It has a device holder although you'll see in my negatives that it covers up the monitoring. It feels heavy duty which it should if it's going to support up to 400lbs. And the biggest positive of all, my wife loves it (and so do I). :-) The only real negatives I've found so far is that I don't think the heart rate monitor is very accurate. I have an apple watch that I compare it to and it's just all over the place. It starts out much lower than what my watch then ends up higher. But, that's why I have an Apple watch so that doesn't bother me. So far, I haven't really used the monitoring much at all so I don't know if the distance, calories etc are accurate or not. It has a device holder but when you place your device in it, it covers up the monitor anyway, especially if you use an iPad or tablet. I do wish that the magnetic resistance dial was higher up because to adjust it you have to bend over and try to see what you are adjusting it to. Makes it a little harder if you are doing a pyramid program or something where you are adjusting resistance several times. Something that you will learn to do without looking though I believe. It has no water bottle holder like some have. The other negative was getting this thing shipped to me. It probably wouldn't be any different than any other large item like this but it arrived way later than it was supposed to and came in a rented Enterprise box truck with 2 guys to carry it in. This might be because we are about 100 miles from an Amazon warehouse so you may or may not have any issues like this. Even though it may look like my negative list is longer than my positives, they aren't. There wasn't much to explain on the positives. The positives far outweigh the negatives and I would certainly recommend this elliptical. One other note I will say is that even though you can find reviews and assembly videos on Youtube, it doesn't appear that Niceday has any real workout content out like the competition does but does connect with Kinomap which is interesting as you can choose different routes so you have different scenery. It requires a device and connects through bluetooth to the elliptical computer. It was fairly easy to connect and setup but I haven't yet figured out if Kinomap is only subscription or if there is a free side of it so I've just been using Youtube videos created by others such as Sunny Health & Fitness being one and Apple Fitness+. Surprisingly, Apple Fitness+ or Peloton neither have specific elliptical workouts but you can use those geared for either cycling or treadmill as substitutes. The Apple watch has an elliptical workout also which will get you the metrics. ... show more

  • It's so quite!
Style: Classic Elliptical CT11S
It works like a charm! I was initially unsure whether an elliptical machine would be the best choice for me and my husband as home gym equipment. However, after almost two months of using the machine, I feel like we made the right decision. This machine is so practical and operates very quietly, allowing me to watch whatever I want without distractions. We assembled it in about an hour and a half, and the process was straightforward; it just took a little time. I appreciate that it doesn’t require electric power to operate. Overall, I would definitely recommend this machine. ... show more

  • So close to great
Style: Smart Elliptical CT11
I've been through roughly four of these elliptical machines in the budget range. Many of them had the same issues. Difficult and lengthy to assemble with hard to follow instructions, wobbly, squeaky and needing lubrication which can be a mess, short strides which made my knees hit the equipment, and other things. So when I saw the review for the Niceday, I thought I'd give it one more shot. First impressions: Without question, the best packaged machine of them all. Opening the box, the machine and accessories were all neatly organized with all the inside packaging in tact with a combination of mostly hard compact cardboard and minimal Styrofoam which mean most of it can also be recycled. As advertised, all the really tricky stuff comes preassembled especially the vertical pole where the magnetic resistance cord is connected. Hooking that up on cheaper models seems to take forever. Assembly time by myself clocked in around an hour which is 2-3 hours less than the other machines. Probably the trickiest bit was putting on the front and rear support. The unit weighs about 100 pounds, so lifting the ends to screw on the supports took some effort but it can be done. Aside from that, the easiest to put together by far. Performance: I'm 5'8, 167 lbs, with size 9 shoes and I'm in good athletic condition. This thing is solid which it should be since it's 30-40 pounds heavier than the other models. It's about 5" longer than the really cheap models which means the strides can be longer which is noticeable with less stress on the knees. The other ones are more compact so the feeling is closer to a stepper. At no time did I ever feel like my knees would hit the machine or my feet would fall off. It's also totally silent. There's no squeaking or wobble at all which is fantastic. The 16 resistance settings on the dial provides a substantial variety of difficult from pretty easy to solidly challenging. The onboard computer display has large digits which are very easy to read. And despite being 100 pounds, the front wheels on the base are situated that it's not difficult to move around. There's a bit of an effort to tilt to get it on the wheels, but after that, it's fairly maneuverable. It's not quite perfect. A few qualms: It does have a place to hold a media device. The problem is anything larger than a phone will cover the display readings so you can't see time, pulse, speed, etc. I also wish it was higher so my head doesn't need to look down do see everything. Not ergonomical for the neck. Speaking of, the pulse meter is a bit wonky to get an accurate reading. It's hard to tell if it needs to be gripped firm or gently, what part of the hand should be on it, and so forth. It's going to take more experimentation on my part. If I figure it out, I'll update here. There's no water bottle holder either, but that's probably the least important thing. Overall, this is the closest home elliptical machine I've seen yet that is comparable to commercial, high use units in gyms. It's a little bigger and a little more expensive, but it seems you get what you pay for. The quality seems very good and it feels like it's made to last. Recommended. UPDATE 7/31: Still is a solid machine. I think the pulse monitor improves accuracy once your hand are warmed up further into the workout. The only other pet peeve is the clock on the monitor is about 7 seconds slower per every 30 minutes active. So If your workout is an hour, the clock chimes in 15 seconds earlier than the actual time. I don't understand why in today's age this is a problem and Amazon said they'd only consider exchanging the entire unit as opposed just the device that's lightweight and probably costs $1 to make , but it's not a deal breaker. ... show more

  • Quiet and Quality
Style: Smart Elliptical CT11PRO
This is a very nice elliptical machine. It is heavy enough to be sturdy and stable, yet light enough not to be a nuisance or difficult to maneuver. It is very quiet and also has good resistance. It was easy to safely put together by myself. Additionally, it doesn't take up a lot of space bt also has an 18in stride! I'm 5'9" and the longer stride was very important to me bc I don't want to feel like I'm stair stepping. While the console doesn't need to be plugged in, it the calorie counter isn't accurate, nor is it high enough to comfortably read or watch something on a device. However, I just use the ledge to hold my phone and listen to music. I love this machine. It is very nice. Good value for the money. ... show more
