This is the third of these incubators that I have owned. I like them a lot. I use a back up thermometer/hydrometer to ensure 99/100 degrees. I mean, I have a full flock of approx. 40 Coturnix quail of various varieties which speaks for itself. I don't use water in the process at all since the humidity here never drops below 31%. I have even kept the incubators going after hatches and the longest a chick hatched was at 25 days. My cat had to babysit the little guy "Tweetie" overnight so that he would't over-stress himself chirping for dear life if left alone. Now they're buddies. It's worked out with these incubators. At the price point, it doesn't make sense to make my own incubator and manually turn the eggs. ... show more

Seven chicks hatched, healthy as can be, the second round of eggs is in progress, had to play with the water bottle and make sure water flowed inside the incubator for humidity, hard to tell but the first time you start it should use almost half a bottle and if not you are doing something wrong, maybe air traped in the water tube. seems to maintain temperature well, cover with a towel to prevent condensation on the walls, minus one star due to being unable to control or verify humidity/water levels easily, so technically it is always "100%" humidity, well not really 100% but whatever an enclosed bowl of water at 100F is. ... show more

This product has been worth it’s weight in gold, I increased my flock from 4 birds to over forty. Being new to farming have an incubator has taught me the value of a automated system, versus having to manually rotate eggs several times a day.

This incubator is so bad. Does not hold temperature at all. It has the water hooked up to it with no way to regulate the humidity. It was running at 70% humidity when you want 50% in the first 18 days. The heat is so inconsistent. I’ve wasted 24 eggs trying to get this thing to work properly and it is just absolutely junk. Eggs wouldn't even start to develop. I’m guessing because of the high humidity and to low of heat. Returning asap. ... show more

Doesn't hold its temperature. Humidity is impossible to control. These things mean that 3 sets of eggs didn't hatch. Doesn't have a countdown timer. Bottom tray (aka hatching plate) warped while sitting in the machine, so now it doesn't rotate eggs either. Pure junk! Save your money!
