First time incubating eggs and this thing was awesome! Just kept the bottom filled with water and no problems at all. I had a 50 percent hatch rate. 6 out of 12 hatched into adorable baby chicks. Very impressed. Successfully hatched 10 of 12 eggs on the first use. Better hatch rate than my bigger, more expensive incubator. Really like the auto-rotation feature...believe this contributed to the high hatch rate. Humidity control takes a little getting used to, but no more work than my other incubator. It’s off by two °F because the probe is too close to the heating element and it’s better to just add half a bottle of water at a time, but if you get separate thermometer/hydrometer you should be fine. I would suggest this to anyone hatching parrots pidgins quail in smaller amounts or any pet birds that are small. ... show more

This is the third of these incubators that I have owned. I like them a lot. I use a back up thermometer/hydrometer to ensure 99/100 degrees. I mean, I have a full flock of approx. 40 Coturnix quail of various varieties which speaks for itself. I don't use water in the process at all since the humidity here never drops below 31%. I have even kept the incubators going after hatches and the longest a chick hatched was at 25 days. My cat had to babysit the little guy "Tweetie" overnight so that he would't over-stress himself chirping for dear life if left alone. Now they're buddies. It's worked out with these incubators. At the price point, it doesn't make sense to make my own incubator and manually turn the eggs. ... show more

I'd give no stars but that's not an options. The temp was all over the place. It's not at humidity control and the temp buttons stopped working during the first attempt at hatching eggs

I read all the reviews I could find on this incubator and I watched all the videos I could find on it. I honestly figured that with such good reviews maybe the company had paid these people to leave the reviews because that's just the way I think. It was cheap enough that I thought I'll try it, why not. I dry hatch so I can't review on the water bottle or any of that but I can tell you this little incubator surprised me greatly. Out of 12 eggs, three were not fertile and I only had two quitters. Day 19 I had three chicks hatched. Day 20 there were five total hatched and the other two have pipped. The only two things negative I have to say about it is I wish it had an air vent you can control and I wish the bottom had a lip. Seems eggs could roll out very easily when locking down if not careful. But other than that, I highly recommend you give it a try if you're only looking to hatch a couple eggs and need something inexpensive. ... show more

I used this incubator for one hatching and the turner stopped working. I did manage to hatch 3 chicks out of the batch but I think opening it 5 times a day to manually turn the eggs affected my hatch rate. Only 3 out of 6 fertilized eggs hatched
