This blanket is beautiful. The pattern is like inky watercolor. It’s lushly soft and warm. It holds up really well in the washer/dryer. I was afraid it would shed, but it has been washed and dried several times and is just like new. The sherpa is soft and does not pill up. First impression of blanket was fantastic. However, this "dark blue" blanket is more peacock-teal blue which doesn't work well for navy colored room. So, I returned it and picked up the "Indigo blue" blanket. What a difference and it goes well with my color decor. The blanket is so soft, lightweight-but not floaty and it looks fabulous. Really like the Sherpa underside, too. Seems to be quality in this one. Love the blends of white to light and dark "true" blues in the blanket. While the other "dark blue" blanket is nice, this Indigo will be the perfect accent piece to a navy-blue room. ... show more

So I accidentally bought two of these... seems to be a trend if mine these days, but that's besides the point. I'm actually really glad I did. These are wonderful throws. When I bought them I was not aware that the flip side was puffy fleece, but it's so much warmer because of it. The shiny fluffy side seems to be made of a cheap material (not going to lie) but to be fair the price wasn't too high either and it feels a bit cooler than the fleece side. The fleece is nice and puffy and very warm. The colors are gorgeous, and it looks really pretty thrown across a chair or couch. My only problem with this throw is trying to keep everyone from running off with it. My kids and my furbabies all want to keep this throw to themselves. So like I mentioned it's a good thing I accidentally bought two. I will say if you do get this throw, that you will want to line dry it. Materials like this do not fair well in the dryer. It can be machine washed on normal or delicate cycles. The fleece comes looking chunky like in the pictures. I am a bit worried that the shiny side will wear out through multiple washes, so I will try to update again after it's been washed several times. The pictures are in different lighting so you can see how the colors come out depending on the light used. ... show more

After examining a few of the faux fur blankets available on Amazon, this one leads the pack for quality punch at value price. Each of the two materials, the faux fur top layer and the sherpa fleece bottom layer, are thick and tight woven (can't see weft). More importantly, being a well made example of the best in blankets with its soft warm appeal, what's not to love? It's a hit with people and pets! Definitely GIFTABLE!
