The New World folding metal dog crate by MidWest Homes for Pets includes all of the features you will need to provide a convenient, safe & secure pet home for your best friend, from puppy to adulthood. This crate includes a plastic leak-proof pan that allows easy clean-up in the event of an accident and rubber feet to protect the floors in your home. We recently enhanced the safety and security of the New World crate by adding locking tips on the slide-bolt latches to securely lock the door the and patented Paw Block, which prohibits your dog from tampering with the door lock from the inside. New World crates also feature patented rounded side clips that reduce possible sharp points to ensure a safe experience for you and your pet. Every New World metal dog crate conveniently folds down flat for travel. The 24" New World (model B24) measures 24L x 18W x 19H inches and is suitable for "small" dog breeds. Please note the term "small” breed is subjective. For the best fit, we advise that you check the measurements of the dog crate and select a size that will be suitable for your dog's ADULT weight and measurements. Your dog should be able to comfortably sit upright, lay down, and easily turn around inside the crate. When in doubt, we suggest you purchase a larger crate option. I ordered it for a smaller boxer and its OK, but I would order the bigger size for taller dogs. I got this one because it fits into the back of my small Kia, Soul, and is light enough for me - at 73 years to move to car. We were fortunate enough to become 'owned' by 2, one year old French Bulldogs. Tiny terrors they are, still in training! We purchased this crate as it is large enough to fit both of them, together, still with plenty of room. Seldom do we need to leave them unattended (which would be horrifying without this crate) and we also have a very small home. This crate is easy to set up and take back down and store! We are using it for 2 small dogs but a large dog, Rottweiler type would easily fit inside with plenty of room. Worth every penny! ... show more

I do not know why there are negative reviews. The crate is solid and easy to fold/set up. I have 2 Rottweiler guard dogs that really don't like anyone but me. I am bringing home a puppy, and want to be certain the puppy is safe until she is accepted. The Rotts are muzzle trained, but I can't keep the muzzles on them 24/7. This crate is not the same quality as the iCrate brand (I think that is it) that I bought when I got the Rotts. But this crate will do the job. I just ordered a second so I don't have to be moving the crate from room to room. ... show more

Our dog had grown out of its plastic portable kennel. We needed a kennel that was larger and more comfortable for our dog as he sometimes has to spend several hours in it. We also wanted to be able to easily bring it with us. This fits the bill nicely. Very easy to set up and take down. Not too heavy, and doesn't take up much room in our compact car. We found a nice cover that fits over it. Our dog likes it so much he often goes in their himself to sleep. Like his den...lol. Never did that with his plastic one. Needed a large crate as my fur son had major surgery. He had to wear a large cone and needed to be confined to keep him safe. Although he is a small/medium size dog l wanted him to be able to move around to get comfortable. Arrived on time, in good condition. Easy to put together. Worked out great.
