I recently picked up this alarm clock to see how it worked out. My son had problems getting up to the sound of his previous alarm clock. so I put this one in his bedroom. If you're a heavy sleeper seeking a reliable wake-up call, look no further than this loud digital alarm clock. I woke my son up the first morning it sounded and has been doing its job every day since. The piercing alarm ensures that even the deepest slumberers rise on time, even me, and I'm in the room down the hall from where I have the alarm clock. It does have customizable volume settings and I did need to adjust them so I wasn't startled out of bed every morning. I got this for a family member who has trouble waking up with his alarm. Now he doesn't have that issue anymore. It's great that you can reduce the intensity of the light because it gets very bright. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but I think that makes it kind of nice. I helped set it up and taught him which was no trouble at all. It's a great alarm clock. ... show more

Works as expected. The top of the alarm clock pops up on top in the center and it won’t go back down. It doesn’t affect the usefulness of the clock, but it would be nice if it didn’t pop up. This is a loud alarm clock; it wakes up everyone in the house (and the neighbors) but it doesn’t wake up the attended target (my teenage daughter). Since that is not the product’s fault, I gave it 4 stars (docked one star for popping up on the top). It has two alarms which means the rest of the household gets to hear it twice and turn it off twice for my daughter. I have a suspension that the alarm clock is waking her up, but she knows if she waits 5 minutes one of her brothers will turn it off and she can go back to sleep. She really doesn’t like 5:30 in the morning. 😊 ... show more

The Netzu model 6210B is 7" wide dual alarm clock comes in a simple unbranded box, which includes a really well documented proper English user manual, a 5VDC 1A USB-A compact power supply 'cube', and a USB-A to USB-C cable, 46"/1170mm long, and claims a 6 months return and 24 month warranty and lifetime support. You can select 12/24 display mode, and requires the USB-C input power; the two AAA batteries installed prevent the settings from being lost, otherwise a power loss means you have to reset it. It has a unlabeled USB-A output jack, which I did not test to power the clock, since it is labeled as 'charging port', which the USB-C jack, is labeled the same, in the user manual, but it actually powers the display and alarm. It has nice, large 65mm tall digits, a dedicated button you can cycle through the four audio levels, and five brightness levels from off, barely visible to max. The display appears to be an electroluminescent (EL) display with very uniform segments. It is just a basic clock with hours and minutes and two alarms, no seconds, date or temp. It is simple to set, has a snooze/brightness button on top and seven buttons on the back. When in snooze mode, a ZZZ is displayed. Although it is not intended for outdoor use, we need a clock which is visible from the pool in the backyard, where we have a huge analog thermometer, but the analog clock we have was too small, and it will be located midway up a wall under a wide soffit on a shelf, and is clearly visible from across the yard. It is only 1.375" thick but USB cord makes the minimum distance to wall 1.375in. My initial impression is this is a very quality made item, is easy to use and is relatively loud; plenty for me even though I sleep deep, even though this will not be it's primary use. What a great clock! I'm delighted with this thing. It's pretty and does exactly what it should, no more, no less. Big, elegant, easy-to-read LED digits. It's thin. Elegant. It includes two alarms—I didn't test these, I just want it as a clock—and note that it has a decent-sized *speaker* on the back! So I trust the manufacturer that you can make this thing super loud, if you want to. (It can be set to four different volume levels; and there are two different alarms you can set.) All the controls are basic and straightforward and non-finicky, which I like. So you don't have to read the owner's manual, except for one feature: Turns out that the snooze bar, on the top of the clock, has a 2nd function (besides snoozing), when the alarm isn't sounding. You use it to change the brightness of the display. That's not exactly intuitive, but once you know it, it's great. You don't have to reach around the back of the clock and press buttons for a display that you can't see on the other side; this way, you get instant feedback... and gratification! Why? It's because this thing thoughtfully goes from easy-to-read-in-daylight bright down to dead-of-night dim-yet-legible, with those nice big, clear digits. In fact, there's a fifth setting when you hit "snooze" again: It shuts the display completely off. That's actually nicer than spinning the thing away from you at night, if you're one of those people (and you know who you are!). It comes with a little AC/USB-A brick. And a male-to-male USB-A to USB-C cable, about four feet long. Not huge, but it was enough to reach from my outlet to my nightstand. It also has a compartment on the back for two AAA batteries for time (and not display) backup. I tested this, and it works fine. All in all, a great clock. I'm surprised at how much I like this thing. My photos don't give the gentle blue glow justice. It's really pretty. And for $19.99 as I write this review, a good value. Five stars! ... show more
