So this comes out looking thick and goopy and you may initially be alarmed thinking you bought a tube of your grandmother's cold cream. It does absorb though and does not leave a gross film on your skin. I recently had tested some products that left my skin really irritated and blotchy looking and this went on for a few days. This one was bumped up in the test queue, and boy was I glad- it calmed my skin back down. Contains caffeine to boost circulation and 6% polyhydroxy acid (PHA) so there's some nice gentle refining action going on too. No perfumes but it does have a slight scent to it that will dissipate an hour or so after use. If you were looking for a more liquid serum for calming down reddish and irritated skin I also really like ClarityRX's Take Care Daily for soothing irritated skin. I love this product and know it will be one I reach for in the winter when being outside in the snow and bitter wind/cold will leave my skin needing some extra TLC.     • Nice product but expensive
I really don’t have anything bad to say about this overall. It goes on smooth and does a good job moisturizing. For me the issue is really the price. It’s not a bad product but I personally feel like I get similar results from products that average about half this price point.

I am a skin-care maven and love anything related to beauty, skin care and makeup. I also own and used a lot of prestigious and luxury skin care products. So I love trying new skincare and beauty products in general. My initial impression of this serum is that, the bottle is smaller than expected. I wanted to give myself a few weeks to test out this product before writing an honest review on my thoughts and feedback of this product. I wouldn't think anyone could properly assess a product before actually using it, and results won't happen in a few hours or even a few days. This is not some magic potion that deliver immediate results either, nothing is. So here is my take. This product has a thicker, white pasty texture, although, it still feels lightweight and absorbs well into my skin, but I find the scent a bit off-putting. It doesn't smell very pleasant! Since I do not really suffer from any skin condition or redness, but this product was supposed to soothe skin irritation, and neutralize redness, which my skin does not experience. However, it does moisturize well, and absorbed quickly, leaving my skin soft and smooth. I usually apply this product in the evening after my usual skin routine, and I do follow and skin regimen daily. I would continue to use this product and see whether it actually improve skin resiliency, since I am always looking for products that will protect my skin from the harsh environmental aggressors. Overall, I think this product is a good lightweight, everyday serum that also works well as a moisturizer, because it feels very lightweight and absorbs quickly. ... show more

    • Reduced redness
I usually try quite a few of skin products most of the time from random brands and sometimes those products don't work well with my skin causing a bad reaction this happened with an exfoliating cleanser I tried that wiped out my skin moisture barrier and caused redness with everything I used so I tried using this as it seemed like perfect timing and it did help. While it didn't completely remove tye redness it did diminish it and after a few days of use I was able to use products without the redness and irritation. Overall this worked well for me and I'm thinking of keeping a bottle of this product on hand even after this bottle runs out since I do have a use for it. ... show more

The serum is a bit thicker than other serums I have used. The serum is perfect for people who have skin irritation and help with redness. I recently had a facial that left my skin abused and this serum helped revitalized my skin. I liked that it didn't leave my skin feeling tight.

This is a nice product - the packaging and design of the product is high quality and convenient to use. The serum is nice but the price point doesn't reflect the performance that I experienced. It is a functional serum but after application I am not entirely impressed.

Neostrata is well known for it’s quality cosmeceuticals. This is a gentle exfoliator that works on a variety of skin types including sensitive skin. I really like that it is unscented. This is creamy white, went on nicely with no clumping or irritation. I applied this on a day I was going to be at an outside tourist attraction and had no issues with any peeling. Just to note I also used plenty of sunscreen. I ran the ingredients through a product checker and this scored a 2 for potential comedogenic ingredients and a 3 for potential fungal feeding ingredients. It’s also a little pricey.
