The paper instructions where really confusing, nothing was labeled even though the paper instructions said it was labeled. I watched the video on Amazon to actually get a idea of the different sizes of the pieces other than that great sturdy product.

I would’ve gave this five stars but a couple things missed the mark. It’s hard to put together. The fur lining on the planks fall off so easily and with claws it doesn’t last long. Very disappointed.

Whew this was tricky. But TOTALLY worth it. Look at that white cat - she loves it! And she's not the only one. Very stylish piece that I've actually got in my home office now, right next to the desk. It's proven extremely effective in providing cats with an alternative attention-seeking method: where normally they might rub against (or worse, bite) my legs or claw around on various boxes, now they usually just climb up here and get to be right next to the action. Perfect. Colors match well with the rest of the space too, and I'd have no issues showing this on a Zoom call. A wonderful piece. Some small complaints about the assembly. The pieces are numbered at the beginning, but then the numbers are NOT REFERENCED in the instructions! It just shows, like, bolts and columns of varying lengths. So it became a bit of a figure-out game as to which went where. It wasn't HARD, and heck maybe it wasn't even bad at all - but I don't think instructions should rely on people having to puzzle out the way their new purchase should be assembled. PLEASE have someone redo them. ALSO: the provided hex wrench started to fail after doing most, but not ALL, of the bolts! It's like it was made out of really cheap material and was absolutely deforming before assembly was finished. I replaced it with one of many that I have (from other cat trees, lol) but cmon. Include a high quality hex! Quality issues on the instructions aside, assembly was easy until one of the last bits where you have to attach one column to the top bed and then rotate both of those around as they screw on..... anyway, it was just a bit annoying, but with the right twisting worked fine. After that, no issues. I've opted NOT to attach the ramp and instead it's on the floor as a cat scratching board. The ramps, while they look cool, are useless to anything except tiny kittens and all of ours just jump up anyway. Not having it attached means it's not taking up quite as much space, and removes one potential tripping hazard. Safety first! One last thing: I have this on vinyl wood-appearance floors. I notice a bit of... catching... as I'm moving it around. Will likely have to put some felt pads on the bottom bolts or maybe around them to prevent metal scratching the floors. The plush fabric, while it does extend around the bottom edge, doesn't go far or isn't thick enough. I think most of the time when bolts will be against the floor the manufacturer cuts an indentation in the wood where they'll attach so that they're sunken in a bit. Not so here. Anyway, I know it's a lot of minor quibbles, but I do have to deduct one star despite the excellent result. With a bit more attention to detail and fixing some of these things - which are absolutely solvable - easy 5 stars. And if you don't mind a puzzle and if you don't move it often (or have carpet), go ahead! You won't regret it. ... show more
