    • Long fingers to reach even short necks. Conveniently portable. Weight's unbalanced.
I keep trying to find a neck massager that works for me and keep running into the same problem: all of them are too big to reach my neck without pressing hard against my skull! This one, though... well, it still lost a star for the lack of cushioning where it meets the back of my head, but the long fingers let it give me the massage so many other devices are lacking. To describe it for those with specific preferences, this is more a "squeezing" type of massage; no rotating balls here, this is strictly a back-and-forth pressure. But it still does the job I need it for. It's also good for more than just the neck, though it's somewhat limited. I can flip it on its backside and massage a calf muscle after work, or try to work similarly on a thigh. The arm is a bit more awkward if I don't have space to stretch out but is otherwise still manageable. I've tried it on my (US women's size 9.5) foot however and found that no matter which way I turn it--the top facing me or away--the only real pressure I feel is against the balls of my feet with the fingers barely touching the curve of the arch where I was trying to use it. And the weight is just too unbalanced to use anywhere on my back that isn't my neck and shoulders, unless I'm of a mind to press it between myself and a chair; the straps aren't enough to keep it from flipping around so the fingers aren't even touching my back otherwise. Speaking of the straps, I'm a big mystified as to the supposed hands-free function. I have the straps tightened as far as they'll go and buckled up and the only thing that accomplishes is needing to unbuckle it to take it off. I still have to keep my arms in the provided loops to hold it in place so the motion of the fingers doesn't just push the whole thing away from me instead of pushing them into me like it's meant to do. And that's with me leaning forward to type this; I don't dare lean back or even sit up straight in anything but a taller-than-me chair without my arms in those loops. The strap with the buckle hangs a good two-and-a-half inches below my chin. Finally, it is conveniently portable, courtesy of being battery powered and charged by the universal option that is USB C. No need to tether yourself to a close-enough power source until it's time to recharge. (As is also typical of these things, you can't actually see the controls when it's in use--not for your neck at least--because the manufacturers never think to make that part of it long enough.) Not sure how long the battery lasts but I've used it for at least three separate sessions--until it auto-shuts off as even the plug-in kinds do for I assume safety reasons--on a single charge. ... show more

"It's a lobster claw!" came echoing from the other room. This was puzzling. We hadn't had lobster at home in a long time and unless one of the pups buried something from the trash especially well and it somehow endured for several years, I wasn't sure how she'd find it now. I had no idea exactly what my little mama was up to with a lobster claw in her bedroom. Granted, I'd been away for a while, and shoot, I eat popcorn in bed all the time, so who was I to judge? Turns out she was trying out this new massager, which indeed, appears especially goal oriented, if not entirely crustacean in its grip. She's tiny, a little bony. I'm a giant next to her, with a few extra layers of muscle and stored sweet tea (winter is coming - we all need to store energy for the lean months). So for me this massager was more like an angry Swedish masseuse who, with little prelude, gets right to it. For her, it was a lobster claw trying to do some kind of David Carradine action on her neck. At least that was her perception. She did find it more soothing on her thigh, which was a little meatier (let's face it - she's a fryer and I'm more of a roaster). I found it to be soothing on neck, arms, thighs, shoulders and even my calves, but you must understand how much work awaits me when I get back to the homestead. An angry masseuse with a grudge would have been fine with me. So four stars because not everyone is a roaster and some well-meaning son or daughter might think of how creaky dear old dad or dear little mama's neck is and think this is the ultimate gift. It is for those of us properly prepared for winter (technically it's a five star for us, but since the world has plenty of fryers, we'll settle on a four). Mama's gotten over her initial PTSD enough to decide it's the perfect remedy after we tromp up and down some hills in this gorgeous weather, so it looks like I'll be ordering another one for myself.     • Best for smaller, thinner necks
If you are larger person with a thick neck, this could be too tight and small for your neck. You may need to turn it on to put it on, because it seems to shut off in a compact "closed" position. The massage is deep and intense. You can adjust it somewhat by how close you pull it to your body. You need 2 hands, or at least 2 arms, to hold it in position while it works. The controls are too high on the strap, up near your ear, so you'll either memorize where there buttons are by touch, or take it off to make adjustments. I've used it on other parts of my body, like my legs and shoulder, and for that I hold it in place with a hand on the back of the massager. The heat feature is great! ... show more

The massager came well packed with a usb-c cable and an instruction manual. The manual honestly was very basic with just minimal instructions - although its very easy to use without a manual. I wish the cable came with charger itself as my phone usb-c charger didnt appear to work. The massager itself has couple of modes, heating and speed buttons. The modes are very basic and doesnt do a deep massage. I actually found it a little uncomfortable for the neck but for the back it was better. The belts are adjustable and clicks on for support. This is the most unique massager I have ever used! Make sure to watch the video they posted! The 2 skinny bottom legs move up and down. While the larger uppers ones are in a somewhat circular motion. They have a lot of torque, so be careful if you do anything where you put your arm or leg between them as it can grab and pinch very hard! Overall very very good kneading effect with a lot of strength! However still dont know what the buckle is used for. ... show more

After fully charging, made use of this massager and works great. Easy to strap on and use handsfree. It's not close to having a real massage work on sore muscles but great for daily use after tiresome work day. The kneading is steady and has 3 speeds.
