Exactly as described. Seems sturdy and works as expected. One thing to note: The quick connect adapter that comes with the cable is intended to attach to your home's natural gas port and the threaded end of the hose is meant to attach to the appliance (BBQ, etc.) either directly or via the small, included adapter. What is NOT possible without buying a separate 1/2" Flare x 1/2" NPT adapter is to connect the quick connect adapter to the threaded end of the hose, i.e. without the additional purchase, you cannot use this hose as an extension for an already existing quick-connect setup. So if that's what you're looking for (like I was for my generator which also uses quick-connect), expect to spend an extra $9 or so. ... show more

Pros: - High Quality Components. - Flexible Hose. - 36ft Length Hose has Lots of Reach. - Excellent Quality Fittings. - Includes a 3/8" Male to 3/8" FIP nipple. - All components have ANSI Markings for Indoor/Outdoor Use. Cons: - Included Literature says Outside Use Only. This Houseables 36ft N.G. Hose w. Quick Disconnects and FIP nipples is very high quality. All the fittings have ANSI and NGA certification marks for both Indoor and Outdoor Use. Both the hose ends have long brass strain reliefs to anchor the fittings on the hose ends. The hose itself is sheathed CSST (Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing) with CSA and ANSI ratings but is clearly marked "For Outdoor Use Only". The hose is terminated on one side with a 1/2" Male Quick Disconnect nipple and on the other side is terminated with a 3/8" Female FIP receptacle. Both a 1/2" Female Quick Disconnect fitting and a 3/8" Male NPT to 3/8" Male FIP nipple are included with the kit. 3/8" fittings are intended to attach to appliances like gas grills, gas fireplaces, and gas heaters. A 1/2" line gives plenty of gas flow for those appliance. The vendor clearly marked the hose and included a specific memorandum sheet stating that this hose was "for outside use only". Building codes vary by location so you need to check with your local building code enforcement office before using this hose in an interior permanent installation. In conclusion, this Houseables 36ft N.G. Hose with 1/2" Q.D. and 3/8" FIP fittings is a great quality kit for connecting to outside appliances like fireplaces, gas grills, and gas heaters.     • Perfect for keeping a portable generator away from the house.
Everything about this is quality. The fittings are well made and the hose itself is equivalent to the much shorter hose that came with my portable Champion Tri-Fuel generator that I also purchased through Amazon. Even though our subdivision utility lines are underground, they are not underground approaching the subdivision. I do not have to use the generator often at all, but experience has taught me that it is wise to have one around. In order to protect oneself from the dangers of carbon monoxide, it is important to run the generator away from the house and in a position where the exhaust flows away from the house. A 36 ft. hose fits the bill as far as giving me the flexibility to get the generator where I want it. I don't need all of the 36ft. as the hose that came with the generator allowed me to get the generator in a fairly safe position, but it was not long enough for me to move it to what I considered to be a more functional position for my needs. This one does that, and I am quite happy to have it in my possession. The included quick connect adapter just makes it more valuable and useful. ... show more

    • You might need a hardware store for the business end
I bought a sweet grill at a garage sale. I took it home and discovered it wouldn’t accept my propane tank. No amount of counseling would work so I went back and learned it had (been?) converted to natural gas. I bought an elbow and valve and hooked them together. Unfortunately, the line from the grill was only 3 feet long. So, it was fortunate I found this set up. The quick release valve easily replaced the valve I bought and the connection was positive and took minimal effort to plug in. The hose is sturdy and feels like a heavyweight product. The instructions were very clear, including that the hose couplers supplied may not fit the appliance, so I was at a plumber supply making a 3 piece connector for $15. I grilled some New York steaks about 5 hours ago and am happy for this hose. The quick release valve has no leaks, the connection to the grill was a bit of an adventure, but compared to running a gas pipe around the patio, this was the easiest project I did today. I needed this to attach my generator to my outside propane tank. The hose is long and THICK. The brass connections and connectors look heavy duty. The quick disconnect is really nice. I will need to purchase a separate shutoff valve to install prior to the quick disconnect but other than that it hooks right up to my generator and will provide the propane I need. Great product! I always include pictures of the manual, if there is one, in my reviews so YOU can understand the product better! I also take pictures of the whole product if possible. I was surprised at the quality of this hose. It was better than I expected. It came with ANSI rated fittings which means they were built to a standard and something you like to know when using it for natural gas. The size of the hose was spot on and every bit of 3/4 in.     • Good quick connect hose
This hose is pretty good for a quick connect for propane. It's versatile, and sturdy, and it's 30 feet long, which makes it even more functional. Because of the length, it makes it very flexible. The price seems too good to be true, but so far, it's worked great.
