I love the effectiveness, the scent, and how calming it is. As soon as I put it on her, she relaxes and goes to sleep right on my lap. I usually do it at night right before bed time. The first time I tried it, it scared her and she peed on the floor which is an impossible thing to do. She’s a very good girl and is strictly potty trained. So that accident was due to the ointment scaring her. I also have to make sure she doesn’t lick her paws. The first time, was a bit of a challenge. But starting the second round, she was so calm and actually readily let me put it on and massage her little paws. The product along with massaging her paws relaxes her and she goes to sleep. The balm itself is thick and rich, which makes it great for moisturizing and nourishing those rough paw pads. After a few applications over the course of a week, I started noticing a positive change in my dog's paw condition. My dogs paw pads were very dry from his long walks he gets twice a day. Although we do our best to keep him off the hot pavement, sometimes a short street cross is not avoidable. I alternate the pawtection (in the morning) and the paw soother (in the evening). In 2 days my dogs paw pads are incredibly improved. I show him the can and tell him let's go do your feet and he jumps up on the bed and rolls over. It must really be making his pads feel better. GREAT PRODUCTS!! ... show more

In our phased this in the hopes it would heal my Shih Tzu’s two front paws that he licked raw. There is an odor to it that is not so pleasant so I am hoping my fur babe does not like it and avoids licking his paws where I applied the balm. I’m hoping he feels better soon to avoid a Vet visit.
