I have been working with several different brands of PETG in the past few weeks on a Bambu Lab A1 Mini. Settings I have found to work with “most” PETG I have used so far on the Mini to be 235 nozzle and 65 bed. These temps worked well with the NAGA out of the box. Slight stringing on the test print I mean very minimal. No adhesion problems and the prints are very nice. I did NOT dry the filament before printing with it so I suspect if I had put it in a dryer for abit there would have been no stringing at all. The shiny bright green color (almost neon) is very nice and exactly what I was looking for. Price is good and I will definitely buy more filament from NAGA. ... show more

    • Needed a specific color for a one off job, wasn't expecting much. Surprise. Surprise.

I needed a specific shade of PETG that my regular MFR's don't have and this was the closest to what I needed that I could find. Have never heard of these folks, but it met the color requirement so here we go. First: Windings. I'm used to all kinds of variances in windings, but this roll was spot on. Like absolutely flat rows, utterly uniform. Only other brands I've seen recently with that kind of control on the windings are Prusa and some of the stupidly epensive $100 and up a roll engineering grade filaments, so color me impressed. Next was the dimensional analysis. I measure the diameters both perpendicular and parallel to the flange at multiple locations into the spool, using a high end set of Mitutoyo micrometers that read reliably out to 0.0001 MM. For MFR's I'm used to working with I'll pull 10 sets of perp & parallel, doing a few at 6" increments, skipping 10' and another set in 6", looking for variances in the diameters. For new MFR's I triple that, going at least 200' into the spool, as I've been burned by this in the past. I was astoundingly surprised. The diameters averaged out at 1.7493, which is about as spot on as I've seen in a good long time. Even my way pricier ENG filaments aren't that close. Even more surprising was the overall consistency of the values. The max deviation from the average was 0.017, which is absolutely stunning as lots of manufacturers tout +/- 0.2, but over the course of a spool very few even come close to that, let alone beat it. Further there was next to no major differences in the Perp vs Flange measurements which indicates ovality. This was really really good. Next I ran single wall tests to set the extrusion multiplier, which came in at 1.0294 and that's below the typical delta I see for PETG (got several way more expensive brands than this that have EM's that are double that). I didn't run a temp tower so I shot the EM tests at 230 first Layer, 240 2nd and subsequent with a bed temp of 80C. No sticking issues whatsoever on either the satin or textured plates. Had a little stringiness which I attribute to cutting corners and not running a full on temp tower, but I was in a hurry and this was needed for a 14hr plus print on the XL and wanted to get that off and going as there's other stuff in the queue. Had zero issues doing a 5 color print with no wipe tower (and I normally won't risk that on a new untried filament, but as mentioned was in a rush, and based on the measurements I'd already done I figured I was in safe shape. It printed fine, even in the areas where it was having to play with several other filaments at fairly different temps (I have some MFR's PETG's that print at well above or below the 230-240 range). Post print I stuck it in the dryer and noticed a 2.36G drop due to water loss (and I'd barely used 50-60 gram s off the roller as it's part in the part, so it was a little soggy out of the box but not horrifically so (I've seen some fresh out of the box PETG spools shed 6G or more) and that plus my lack of temp tower was mostly likely my stringing culprit. The Spool is decent, hubs a tad wider than I typically like to see but that's minor. No flange flexing from the vacuum packing, box is OK, not great these are nits. The stuff's a bit more than my "go to" PETG but not absurdly so. Next time I need an oddball color, I'll be seeing if these folks can fill it. IF they made ASA I'd definitely give it a shot. They show they make nylon but I can't find it as that might be worth a go as well. ... show more

It printed well on my AnkerMake M5, but right away I could tell it is not very strong. I have printed other PETGs and the NAGA strength is definitely closer to a PLA or maybe PLA+. I still gave it 4 stars because it was easy to print and if you are looking for something that doesn't need to be strong but good for outdoor use this is a good option. This is really good transparent PETG filament, once you get the settings right. The look is different from the SainSmart PETG I was using previously, you can tell it's different filament from looking at the prints, but it's difficult to pinpoint exactly what the difference is in words. This NAGA PETG Filament needs a much higher nozzle temperature. I am using a Flashforge Dreamer 3D printer with stock hot-end. At first, I had initially experienced lots of issues (lots of burn spots, lifting, curling on the nozzle, parts easily breaking, etc.). I was following the recommended nozzle print temperature from the manufacturer NAGA, which works great for my previous PETG from SainSmart, but did not cut it on my printer for this NAGA PETG filament. After experimenting, I found it printed best at 240-245C. This is much higher than they recommend. At 240-245C, prints are almost flawless. No burn spots, no lifting, no curling on the nozzle. Prints come out great. I am very happy. My setup: 3D Printer: Flashforge Dreamer Bed: 70 C with Magigoo coating (prints remove easily once cooled) Nozzle: 240-245C (anything lower and quality goes down dramatically) Print Speed: 60mm/sec Travel Speed: 120mm/sec ... show more

This NAGA PETG olive green filament prints well enough as long as you have your machine dialed in good. It does print at lower temperatures around 210c on the nozzle and 80c on the bed with my Ender-3 v3 SE. Most PETG filaments need around 220 - 240c for printing. Make sure you have your 1.) eSteps and your 2.) Z-Offset set. Then run a flow test, temp test and then finally a retraction test in that order and you will have a good printing experience with this filament. I ran it through a filament dryer at 65c for 2 hours prior to printing and ran it out of the dryer box during the 6 hour print job. I did used a liquid glue to get it to adhere to the print surface (Prevailent T-80) otherwise it wanted to lift up in some spots. It released just fine, no trouble or problems. I would buy NAGA PETG filament again. Good price and prints well. ... show more

I printed the same box on my Ender 3 Neo and my Bambu Labs X1 Carbon. I printed one in ambient air and one in a sunlu filament dryer (50°C) on my Ender, I also printed another in the Bambu Labs AMS and again in the sunlu filament dryer (50°C). It failed terribly between 230°-245°C in the Ender 3 with a lot of stringing, the very first print failed after the first layer. I was finally able to get a seemingly decent print around 250°C but noticed a failed layer that caused the filament to break at that layer when pulling it off the bed. It printed somewhat ok on the Bambu X1C but created a lot of stringing compared to ESun & OVERTRUE PETG filaments. It is also very brittle and just not worth the hassle. Never again. ... show more
