  • Rescue with anxiety - instant success
Size: L
We recently brought home a Rescue, now training for her job as my ESA. She’s a little over a year ago a half old, extremely intelligent, and great at her work in home. Outside my small 2 person family is a completely different issue. She has extreme anxiety, to the point of seeming aggressive. She truly isn’t- it’s a phobia. Anyone who can wait for an episode to be over gets to see her at her sweetest. She’s even more afraid of vehicles. We don’t have to be near anyone for her to panic, she just has to see them. I got this mask because throughout her time here she’s done good at so much of her training, and I noticed if I could keep her from seeing the people or moving cars she was zoning on, it’s much easier to settle her down. Her last family used a shock collar, which isn’t really good for a dog’s anxiety and could possibly be the reason for her fear response. Back to this mask. I expected her to need to work up to getting used to wearing it when we go outside, and dislike it at best-case-scenario. I walked a completely different dog today. Even at night. She doesn’t struggle, attempt to remove, or freak out in any way about wearing it. I could not have expected such immediate change for her so soon. This is exactly what she needed, affordably. We can walk near people, cars, anything, and she’s aware but able to stay focused on her task. She trusted me to lead and tell her the steps on the way to the doggy area outside and back home. It may look cheap/may not look or feel like much, but it’s perfect. The light material is great for feeling less restricted, the muzzle band is the size projected and seems much more comfortable than her normal non-mask muzzle she used to wear, and the way it covers her face it still allows plenty of room for her to enjoy the breeze outside. She’s able to actually enjoy sniffing around rather than focusing on her surroundings. This is an absolutely helpful tool for her and I hope this review can help anyone else looking for solutions to a dog that has phobia issues outside the home. We have been looking for anything to help her, and nothing else we’ve tried is so much the right thing. It’s definitely worth a shot. Try it before you give up hope. ... show more

  • Works well for anxiety of shots
Size: S
This blindfold has been a life saver when it comes to giving my little Joi her insulin shots. She is very anxious and nervous and would yelp and jerk as soon as she saw the needle. I put the blind fold on her and she instantly calms. She doesn't even feel the shot. It was just her nerves. So, if you are looking for something to help with visual overstimulation- this worked for me. ... show more

  • Perfect for us
Size: L
My dog has anxiety, he is a German shepherd chow chow mix, often in the car he jumps up and scratches at windows and on a console which gets us very upset because he like to keep our car nice and not get ear damage from him barking in our ear. I've been looking for solutions which I used a makeshift blindfold to experiment with and it worked well, I decided to get one that's in place and can't get pulled off by him, I opted on this one because the straps were adjustable and its appearance was realativly sleek, it didn't look too confomfortable due to the elastic being a bit small on his muzzle (probably get a larger size so he's more comfortable on longer car rides. The shade is completely opaque which I am OK with since he won't be needing his vision to sit and lay in a car. Although if your planning of having it be a mesh/sheer eye cover, this isn't for you, use this in kennels or closed safe spaces and be able to know your pet won't be running around blind because that would definitely be a safety hazard, as for the value this is a bit pricy for what came in, the bucks are plastic but I do like that it's adjustable and with the straps and elastic. ... show more

  • Size is really everything
Size: L
Purchased a medium mask for my 33 lb dog. It duly arrived, then spent 10 minutes wrestling this on my dogs head. Way too tight.....and yes, I loosened it as much as I could. Ordered a large as my small brain obviously thought next size up would do the trick. Wrong, so much bigger that I could have added the cat and still had room. Extremely disappointed! ... show more

  • My dog can finally ride in my car.
Size: XL
My dog is extremely reactive and I was unable to take him in the car due to his lunging, snapping and barking frantically. Put this on and he settled right into his seat.

  • Not Good Results!
Size: Medium
This product solves nothing. In fact, tends to make the situation worse! At least, that is my experience. Perhaps the science on the supposed benefits wasn’t deep enough and must have been based on one or two dogs or cats wearing such. In our case, the situation became worse and intensified! Ss

  • A Must Have for Car Reactive Dogs!
Size: L
The media could not be loaded. Our foster dog is extremely car reactive to everything in sight. She was a barking/growling/snarling/drooling mad woman. It made car rides miserable for her and us. We were going to just start crating her in the car but a trainer recommended this product. I honestly didn't think it would work but I was willing to give it a shot. It is absolutely magical! We put it on her in the car and rewarded her with high value treats for a couple of minutes. She did try to get it off for a few minutes but we treated her when she stopped and when she remained calm. It took less than 5 minutes for her to get used to it and then she remained completely calm and quiet the rest of the ride. We put it on her every time we get in the car and she is completely receptive to it. She remains calm our entire car ride and doesn't even try to get it off. I highly recommend this product! ... show more
