Used these to tension electric fence. Similar to local farm store but a little better price. I like that you don’t need a special tool to tighten them, I just use a Crescent wrench.

These are the chintziest pieces of Chineseium trash you can buy. In the attached photo, you can see the lug for ratcheting the fence tightener broke in two. The 11 gauge wire was barely taut enough to maybe do some good on the end post. The fence tighteners did not come with a ratchet wrench to tighten them, and the one suggested by Amazon didn't work until I did a little grinding and bending on it (thankfully that was only 5 bucks). Apparently, I'm strong enough with a 6 inch craftsman wrench to snap off half of the pressed metal lug on this piece of crap--mind you, with it being attached to a wire that still had a little bit of wiggle in it--not possible for me to even really crank the heck out of the thing. Don't buy this. I'm going to try and send the remaining pieces of crap back, hopefully Amazon will take them. ... show more
