I’ve had many mattress pads and toppers and never one like this. It was delivered on time and very well wrapped. It did have a strong odor. I laid it on top of guest bed to air out and fill out. The following day, the odor was gone and I placed it on my bed. It fit perfectly. I decided to test it, though it was early in the day. Once I lied down on it, the pain in my back subsided right away. It was sooooo comfortable, I didn’t want to get up. I finally talked myself into getting up and I have never looked so forward to bedtime as I did that day. I have only slept on it a couple of times so far, but it’s been the best pain free sleep I’ve had in a long, long time. My only regret is that I didn’t buy this a long time ago. It also sleeps COOL, which was my biggest concern. I was going to wait before reviewing this so early, but the pain relief and total comfort is telling me to say buy this now. You won’t regret it. Ive had this mattress topper for about 6 mo, and within the first few times of making the bed the material has ripped or peeled in the middle. You can't feel it but it was a huge bummer and I definitely wouldn't purchase it for the guest bed

We have an AWESOME Purple original mattress that I love. I don’t think it’s too hard, but she’s used to foam mattresses that you sink down into. I ain’t doin that, so we got this 3” mattress pad. I was afraid it would make me sink into it like a crappy foam mattress. She was afraid it wouldn’t be enough. She complained after the first night, but by the second night - actually next morning after second night - she said she likes it and it fixed her complaint of the bed being too hard. I honestly only notice it right when I get into/onto the bed. Once I’m there I don’t notice it at all, or when I’m sleeping… though actually I do notice it a BIT when I want to sleep off my pillow. It does add a soft layer, which is nice. Our bed is adjustable for sitting up in, and this isn’t getting in the way of that at all or, so far, wearing strangely. I do like that it has the patterns in it so it’s not just a flat piece of foam underneath. It’s winter now so we’ll see if it traps heat or not. For reference, I’m 6’2” 180lbs, she’s 5’8” 150-ish. Only downside - it looks like they took a blade and cut a chunk off a big long roll of this stuff. It wasn’t clean looking at all. Unexpected upside - it really does NOT smell one bit.
