Description

The MTX Terminator TNP212DV is an excellent all-in-one solution for anyone looking to add bass to their vehicle's audio system. The subwoofer enclosure can handle up to 1000-watts RMS and is designed to deliver all the bass you could ever need. Everything you need for a great bass system is in this package except wire! The TNP212DV utilizes the TNE212DV vented dual 12" enclosure, which combines great subwoofer design with perfect vented enclosure design to outperform everything in its class. Each 12" subwoofer can handle 500-watts RMS power, 1000-watts RMS for the entire enclosure. The subwoofers are wired internally at 2Ω matching it perfectly to the included TNA500D amplifier. The enclosure itself is made using extra-strength 5/8" MDF (medium density fiberboard), which is the preferred material for subwoofer enclosures, ensuring the enclosure can contain the massive low frequency sound waves generated by the subwoofers without problem. The enclosure is wrapped in black aircraft grade carpet. The classic black goes well with any interior and is resilient to tearing and wear. The embroidered Terminator logo adds a custom look. For over 40 years MTX Audio has been making car audio electronics designed to deliver more than expected and that is exactly what this package delivers. the TNE212DV is the perfect solution for enthusiasts on a budget.

I have had these subs for 6 years still working great till this day. We'll worth the money. This is also paired with a planet Audio amplifier 1200W.

  • They're definitely worth the money
Style: Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure Subwoofer
My MTX terminators came in todays !! Could not wait to install them , I paired them up with two pioneer sub 12s I already had firing directly into the back seat .pioneers are used in free air form . I put the terminators firing towards the trunk . I have them power by a Rockford fosgate that I've had for years , 2400 Watts . Haven't had time to really dial in everything , but we're hitting like hell !!! Using a JVC head unit with a USB port . Just got installed tonight at 10:00 . Just hope they continue to hold it up . You will definitely hear me before you see me ! ... show more

  • Here Is The Truth
Style: Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure + Amplifier...
First off the package came on time, nothing was missing and none of the speakers were blown. Second the AMP you see in the picture above is not the AMP you will be receiving. I do not know why, Photo Shop, who cares that is not what you will be getting. The AMP is not as bad as it seems. Yes during hot weather, when an AMP is in a hot ass trunk it will over heat. Makes since right? The speakers are great, you need a bigger AMP to get your speakers to really hit hard. Like most people said it is a great starter for a car. I have a 95 Honda Accord and it fits just fine in the trunk. You may want to look up a way to hold it still though. It tends to move around back there. IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS POST. DO NOT ALWAYS GO FOR AMAZONS THIS IS WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BOUGHT WITH THIS CRAP. NO DO NOT DO IT. IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT BUY 8 GAUGES OR 4 GAUGES HERE EITHER. Go pick one up somewhere else local. At least then you can see how thick the wire is. It is winter or something like it now, so I have no had a problem with over heating. Take my advice, go back, and just get the subs. I just saved you money. I used 4 gauge wire also. No this does not come with a wiring kit and a bunch of instructions. Its the amp, the subs, and some screws and extra fuses. Here is the truth from a constant Amazon shopper. I hate seeing people get screwed and just want honest detailed facts. You can buy this or just the subs. I do not care, your choice. Do not get the Pyramid PB717X. It is not for this SUB. Get a ONE BRIDGE amp, because you will need to cut into the box and rearrange the wires. That's to much work, plus the box is very nice. Here you have it Amazon Shoppers. Hope I could help and save people money. ... show more

Style: Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure Subwoofer
I don't understand why Amazon has them listed at 1200 watts max the subs are 400 watts each and the box even says 800watts max but I have always ran mtx subs since 1999 and the new ones I just got don't disappoint they hit very hard and very clean I got a spl level of 141.6 on two of them and for 129 bucks u can't beat it ... show more

  • Can be boomy but there is a fix
Style: Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure Subwoofer
I bought this coming from a 3 x 12" sub setup. I can be bias but, I won't. I'll rate this for the product itself. I've had MTX in the past so I do have experience with the brand which is why I bought it. It's a smaller box than the MTX box I had in the past(MTX Thunders), so it's definitely a space saver . I find the high end bass can be too boomy, or too loud, overshadowing the lows. I would recommend either raising the 50hz knob or lowering the 150hz knob a little. Either option will resolve this issue. These MTX terminators are really loud. I have a Skar 1200.d and I know I can push more power to the speaker but, I'm choosing not to. There are not at full tilt at all. I mentioned the 3 12's earlier because with that setup, you can really FEEL the bass at lower volume. My recommendation is, if your thinking about downsizing, just be prepared to miss the force. I'm probably going to sell these and get my original setup again but, It's nothing wrong with these, it's the SPL that I need, and not loudness. ... show more

  • Yooo MTX, Where's the quality control!?
Style: Dual 12" Subwoofer Enclosure Subwoofer
The Subs look awesome, the box is beautiful and the price is nice. I installed these subs with a Hifonics Zeus Gamma 1200.1D which puts out about 450w rms at @ 2ohms. With the gain bareley on for my ritual 2 week break in period the subs seemed to bump harder than they are suppose too. I double checked everything: breakers, wiring, batteries, ect.... Low and behold the problem is the ohm load. the ohm load determines how much power the amp puts out. in this case as you can see from the pic we're getting close to the 1 ohm mark(1.6). which means the subs are getting more power than i intended from the amp i selected. Closer to 550w instead of the 450w thats needed. If i left the set-up the way it was the speakers would have blown for sure in a day or 2. maybe i'll keep them an get a smaller amp that puts out about 500w at 1ohm or keep the box and replace the subs with 2ohm dvc subs wired in series-parallel for a 2 ohm final load. either way its more time and money than i wanted to invest in a budget build for my daily driver. i got talked into buying these subs by a friend that swears by MTX. He's an idiot & MTX are jerks for not checking these things. if you tell us the ohm load is 1.6 from the start we can plan a build that allows for that. but instead i got 8ga pwr/gnd when it should be 4ga and the subs pulling a 1ohm load instead of 2ohms. Thanks for nothing MTX this is the last dollar you will ever get from me or anyone i know...... Update 9/25/23: I've decided to keep the subs and the box. As for the subs, I ordered a ported box for more ventilation and seperate terminals for each speaker since they are SVC I don't have many options. Separately they should be 4ohms or close to it and I can have a solid month to break them in before wiring to 2ohms for more power. After I break them in it won't matter if the multimeter says 1.6 ohms because at that point they can handle the power. Just so you know I always overpower the amps in my build by 25% so the amp doesn't have to work as hard to make the RMS payload. For example if I have 2-12" 2 ohm DVC subs that need 500w RMS each that's 1000w RMS. I get an amp that puts out about 1250w certified at a 2 ohms. As for the box, its really purrty so I'll use it in another build later on down the line. Shout out to Bid D Wiz @ Williston Audio Labs on youtube.
