Perfect for everything from alpine- to road warrior-style expeditions, the Dromedary Bag is armed with incredibly tough 1,000-Denier exteriors and now laminated with an improved BPA-free food-grade lining for better-tasting water, and can handle freezing and the abuse inflicted by expedition crews and hardcore adventurers. Features streamlined webbing and strategic grommets for pack attachment and hanging. Accessories like the Shower or Hydration Kits add do-all versatility, and the included MSR 3-in-1 cap lets you fill, drink and pour with greater ease. Available in three sizes: the four liter size measures 10 by 18.3 inches and weighs 6.9 ounces, the 6 liter size measures 11.3 by 20.6 inches and weighs 8.7 ounces, and the 10 liter size measures 12.5 by 23 inches and weighs 10 ounces. Now this is one tough water bladder. 10 liters on hand is nice when there are multiple people. It is big but packs up small when empty. The seems look very tough and strong and the lid/cap is easy to open. I was a little surprised at the high price but when I got it I felt so much better. It is built like a tank and you can see and feel the quality of the bladder. I have not done the stand on it test and do not plan too. I'll take the testers word for it. We use this in our side by side offroad vehicle to carry water in case we are stranded in the desert. I hang it off the back of one of the seats. It gets tossed around pretty good on rough trails but seems to be handling it fine. The material it’s made of is heavy duty. We haven’t noticed any off flavours being introduced. I like the three way lid on it too. It has a flip up spout for dispensing water slowly, a small screw on cap for medium flow, and then a large screw on cap for high flow or filling. I’ve been using MSR dromedary bags for a free decades now and never had one fail. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of grommets at the very top and bottom of the bag.

I just received this bag for some backcountry hiking, because I drink a lot of water. It seems extremely durable, but I’m a little nervous if it will hold up since something as simple as the cap, does not seem to be consistent since many reviews don’t have leaking issues. I have placed a regular Nalgene cap on it to see if it’s something else, and it does not leak. Easy fix except I don’t get the 3-1 that makes a large bag like this much more useful. The cap is such a simple and cheap piece of all of this, so I’m marking it down because that could be upgraded slightly to not have this issue, without much cost overall. If it had a leakproof cap, this bag would be perfect! That’s assuming that I don’t run into issues with some bikes under its belt. I’ll update once I use it more with a little abuse. ... show more

These are great! I’m a raft house from waybback and I’ve used MSR products a lot!! These bags are just as good as they were 20 years ago!! Durable AF, pack flat, many uses. FULL DISCLOSURE: I ran the H2O thru a RO filter before filling the bags up and there’s no bad taste so maybe they fixed it or maybe your water is corrosive if it’s bad tasting? ... show more

We used these on a 14 day kayaking adventure. We paddled to different camps almost every day so bags were packed and unpacked all that time. Held up great being tossed on beach, no unpleasant water taste and layed flat for better storage in kayaks. Highly recommended.
