The ratchet system makes adjusting the helmet fit much easier than the strap and hole system cheaper helmets come with. However, I should have got a large size (if such thing exists) as the strap doesn't come down low enough to go under my occipital bone (the bump on the back of your skull), so the helmet still has a tendency to slip off if working with my head down. ... show more

Was not even sure I could replace the suspension in my hard hat. I figured I would look because they aren’t cheap ( to individuals that is ) and it was bought for me by a super. Was relieved when I seen they were available, I only had to choose the correct one. So if your suspension has four attachment points inside of it then this is the one for you. My original started loosening on its own Friday and I constantly had to retighten it all day, Amazon got it to my driveway the next day😊 ... show more
