This worked well and the dimmer is accurate. I've worked with it for over two and a half feet worth of welding. It dims confidently. My only con is the permanent battery. I figure it must operated the arc sensor and the solar panel operates the dimmer lens. I've taken to store it back in its box when not in use in hopes of extended the "non-replaceable" battery. I figure a little digging and a AAA battery holder may solve the untimely demise of that battery at a later date. ... show more

Works flawless, headset ratchet adjuster is 👌. Clearview lens is also awesome. I'd assume not as "clear view" as Miller's but this hood was $33 on sale vs anything else.. Fit and function came dialed out the box. Ordering another one for at home.

It’s cheap and it works however, you can’t replace the battery. When it starts to flash on and off by itself it goes in the trash because as stated in this ad solar power DOES NOT charge the battery. Buyer beware
