Trap works great but did have some issues. Seemed like every time a rodent was captured the trap door falls off into the bucket. Would be great if the door clipped on somehow to avoid this. Yellow lid was just small enough to not click onto the 5 gallon bucket but could just be the bucket I used was not standard bucket. The media could not be loaded. One of the brackets on black plastic paddle that fits into both sides of the yellow frame was broken off. It is un able to be attached. The entire unit is useless. Made well except ladder. Its in two pieces that latch together, but doesnt work to connect without it undoing. Like the mold to make it was recersed...i dont know how to explain. Nevertheless, with tape to secure the ladder, and use of peanutbutter along the walls under the hood, i captured the mouse pest as hoped for! ... show more

I have had this product out for 2 weeks in a high traffic rodent area. We have seen rodents in this area multiple times a day. It is baited as suggested. I even taped the lid down for extra security. The rodents are literally pooping on top of the lid. We have not caught a single rodent at all. I do not know if we have extra Smart Ones or what. But we have not caught any. I had such high hopes for this product but it has fallen extremely flat. I also did not realize that I myself would have to assemble the lid unit. From the photos I thought it came as one solid plastic unit not multiple flimsy pieces that you had to click together yourself. Also the gloves would probably fit someone with very small adult hands ... show more

This will work on your ordinary pest, however if you are like me and have super genius critters, this will not work. The ramp set up does not attach well and the balance of the trap door seems off on the units I received.
