We live on a large rural lot with a long driveway. We like to know when somebody is coming up the driveway. A prior, battery powered, driveway alarm died about two weeks ago and we were anxious to get it replaced. Did my research and opted for this seannme solar powered wireless alarm. Charged the sending unit up per instructions and placed is approx 4' above ground level, set it at it shortest distance sensing setting and screwed the backing plate into a tree where it could get some sunlight. Tested it and it worked just fine. The only potential issue is my placement, it might not get enough sun to keep it powered. Time will tell. So far, so good. ... show more

    • Hard to complain at this price point!

I just got these so can’t rate battery life I needed something simple and portable, didn’t want to rely on WiFi or Bluetooth. I don’t need a picture, just need to get an alert when someone is on the move. Installation couldn’t be easier. I’m just setting my sensors on tabletops so that I can move them as needed, they can even go on the road when needed. I saw one review with a video showing floppy ball joints, mine are not like that and easily hold position. They are very easy to position as a stand for tabletop use. The sensors are sufficiently sensitive and position is not especially critical, it didn’t take any fine tuning to make them work. I can be a little critical of the receiver controls and functions, but not enough to ding stars in the ratings. The mute works great, which is necessary. Volume is a little sketchy, loud, sort of loud and tolerable. I wish the low volume was much lower. My biggest complaint is the 38 “chime” options. One might think that with 38 options at least one would be some kind of soft wind chime sound, or other soothing chime. In my opinion, every sound is loud, harsh and annoying. I found one I can tolerate at the lowest volume. Both volume and sound choice are made by cycling through the options, and it resets when unplugged so if you are moving the receiver from one location to another as I do you have to reset volume and sound choice each time. And it’s sort of a noisy process that could easily annoy others. So if I want to move the receiver into my bedroom at night and my husband is already sleeping there is no way to reset without waking him. I can mute it, count the clicks, unmute, and hope I get it right. That’s the best solution I can think of. So, really, it is not perfect, but it is going to do the job I need done and the price is very reasonable and it didn’t take me all day to set it up. ... show more

It is easy to install and works well. HOWEVER - of the 38 door chime sound options there is really only one that is a "Regular" door chime (&-11 Style). The rest are very odd for a door chime - Little sayings, Holiday themed, Etc. I kept scrolling through and heard the one regular one and figured I'd cycle through the rest to see if there was something a little better. I was looking for some motion sensors where I could cover multiple zones without spending hundreds of dollars and these work as advertised. I only wish you could add more than 4 sensors to be monitored but never the less, this gave me the basic coverage I was looking for.

Good product overall. It is anoying at times when the alarm goes off and off and off and there is nothing to see. I think the sensors are too sensitive. The problem is also that there are 4 sensors and you do not know which of the sensors if triggering the false alarm. I've experimented by having just one on then another but it is frustrating. Sometimes I turn the alarm off but then I don't have an alarm. ... show more

I plugged the RECEIVER into an outlet in the garage and it chimed when the car pulled in even though there was no motions by the SENSOR in the driveway. Also, when the garage door opener activated to close the garage door it chimed. Again, nothing in the driveway. It didn't work at all in the morning when the temperature was 20°. The range is pretty great for item of this size and cost. The fact you get 4 sensors is cool. This one had over 2K reviews with 4+ stars as of August 2023. There are some others out there with more reviews but have fewer sensors and different features. Did not need anything fancy with a long\wide sensor range, just something that works and is easy to setup. A rep from the store reached out to see if the item arrived in good condition and if everything worked and if I had hay questions.
