    • Snug fit for large to small adults, good for posture

Three people tried this on in a range of sizes of adults, and everyone could get it to adjust to be a snug and comfortable fit, although the person with the smallest waist couldn’t get the Velcro to attach quite right. This works if you have lower back pain, and for helping with posture when picking things up off the ground. The snug fit is a good reminder to sit up straight, and it helps to relieve some pressure on the spine. I am not a doctor, but I did find this useful, as well as wearable on more than one size person, and washable. Underneath a sweater or sweatshirt, it is not visible. Back pain sucks. If you have it, you know what I mean. This brace really works well to help turn the pain down a few notches. I am only docking a star because this particular brace is somewhat bulky so it’s not really an “out and about” kind of brace. Still, it gets the job done and I recommend it.

I have lower back pain and using a brace helps a lot when I’m doing activities that require bending and lifting. Some back braces I have seem overly large for what I need and seem to be designed for taller people who need more vertical coverage. This brace is just right for me (for the record, I’m 5’6”). I think this runs a little small in terms of its circumference. Using the chart I sized up so I could wear it over heavier clothing but it just barely closes over leggings, so I definitely recommend getting a size larger than what you think you need and taking the sizing chart with a grain of salt. ... show more

    • Comfortable and Effective in relieving my lower back pain!

I ordered the back support because oftentimes when I'm doing marathon housework (Surprise: people are coming over!) I tend to overdo it and my lower back suffers. I thought it would be a good idea to try the MOTEK back support AS I was doing the housework. Instead, I used it after day 2 of babysitting my 14.5 lb, 4 month old adorable grandbaby who enjoys being held A LOT. By the end of day 2, I was in pain but hid it well from her mommy and daddy so they didn't think I was a wimp. The next morning, after painfully getting out of bed, I put the back support on and went about my day. The back support was easy to put on, comfortable, and I almost forgot I was wearing it! I took it off after lunch and had NO back pain. I decided to wear it again the next day to do garden work, moving plants from one pot to another, etc. I went to move the instructions and this time, actually read them. The manufacturer doesn't recommend wearing the brace for more than 2 hours continuously and obviously you aren't supposed to sleep in it. I did not sleep in it. I did, however, wear it for probably 4 hours, so shame on me. Next time I will read the instructions BEFORE I use any product. As far as the size goes, I am petite and according to the chart would be a size small (24-30" waist) but I ordered a medium size and it fits well, and is easily adjustable. I wanted the option of sharing the back support with my husband as needed. After holding and dancing with the baby for 30 minutes, he was begging me to take her because his "lower back was hurting." I plan to continue to use this back support because it's incredibly comfortable and effective in alleviating my lower back pain. ... show more

I suffer from back pain. So to me a back brace helps sometimes. It’s made of good material. It is structurally sound. I was able to put it on with no problem. The Velcro is good. It has two small metal like stabilizers inside for structure. I really didn’t feel them. It has a strange smell, probably due to packaging. This brace provides good support for my lower back, is easy to secure, and fits as it should. The support and comfort is comparable to any "big brand name" braces that I've had in the past. I like to wear a brace while doing gardening and other outdoor activities so it is nice that this is made out of a somewhat breathable material.
