The OSFM version of this belt (One-Size-Fits-Most) won't work if you're over about a 43" waist. That's too bad, because I've tried many different braces and this is by FAR the best designed and most comfortable of all of them. What makes the design so good is that this one is CONTOURED - larger in the back and smaller in the front, so you can actually BEND while wearing this unlike other braces.

It's good quality, but if you are closer to 50", you will probably like you're being attacked by a boa constrictor. I bought this "one size fits most"...most, hmmm. Seriously, if you're over 45" around the waist, you probably don't want this unless you are dieting and heading the right direction weight-wise. That describes my situation. It's too tight for me at the moment, but will probably fit better if I lose another 10 pounds (still losing weight). To give you an idea, I'm currently 240 lbs and 47" around my abdomen. I hope that helps anyone who wonders if it's large enough.

I am very impressed with this backbrace. I have spent far more money on backbraces that weren't nearly as sturdy. It is holding my back in place during exercise and just wearing around. I would recommend to anyone with back pain. Great buy!

My return window closed two days ago. I might contact mfg if I can find packaging. At first, this was great. I only used once over clothes. My waist is a 29. It states more than that. I brought with me shopping and tried to put under clothes before I got in store. Ouch. It was then too small and was pocking in my body at several areas. I think the shirt padding gave it an advantage - but under is a no go especially that size. Ouch. Worked pretty good with clothes. Still small but not as painful.

The belt appears to be well built - I like it, but did just get it. The problem is the sizing, I ordered the SM/MD and I could not get the ends within a foot of each other. This size would fit a runway model or a small teenager. Returned for OSFM - which I had assumed was a large. Fits great but it would not fit a large man as others have noted.
