  • Useful and priced right
It's a bag of small rocks. Hard to know what to say about it. I plan to use these rocks to create pattern weights (to hold down patterns while cutting fabric)—like tiny bean bags. Because my rocks will be enclosed, it doesn't matter what color they are. But I can imagine uses where it would matter, so I think the seller should let buyers choose a color from among the four. However, the reason I deducted one star is that the rocks are packaged wet and muddy! Like they were scooped up from the river and immediately dumped into the bag. I'd like this product better if the manufacturer allowed the rocks to dry a bit before packaging them. Some of the water leaked out and got another item (delivered in the same shipment) a bit damp. If that other item had been a book, I'd have been pretty annoyed. Tip: If you buy this and have it shipped with something else, maybe let the seller know to put something absorbent around it or put it inside a ziplock bag. ... show more

  • Mosser Lee ML1120 River Gravel Soil Cover, 5 lb.
These pebbles are exactly what I was looking for. As the drainage at the bottom of pots and for decoration above the potting soil, this works wonderfully. Each pebble is glossy, pearly, and in varieties of white and cream. Keep in mind that 5 lbs is not too much (about the size of a flour bag), but it was enough to bottom off and top off my growing succulent collection. ... show more

  • Yup, it's gravel!
That pretty much sums it up. Works great as a soil cover for my indoor potted plants. I was having trouble with flies hanging out on damp soil (I live in the NW, so things are damp often), but after putting a layer of this on the soil the flies are nowhere to be seen. Great! The only downside is that I was hoping to receive a larger bag. I am no rock connoisseur, nor do I feel ripped off, but I thought 12 bucks would buy more rocks than that. ... show more

  • Perfect aquarium gravel
Works great for my 10 gallon fish tank. It was a little dusty (as most gravel is), but it didn’t too much rinsing for the water to run clear.

  • Was really glad that I did
Serves it's purpose, but I had read other reviews and followed advice to wash them off ahead of time. Was really glad that I did. But after I ordered this, I ended up in a craft store and saw similar product for around the same price, but didn't look dirty. Will likely go to the craft store instead if I need this kind of thing again. ... show more

  • rocks for sale
these gravel soil covers are exactly what they say they are. small river rocks, white gravel ect. 1.5 quarts isn't very much so be sure and order enough to cover what areas you need covered. I also use the white gravel in the bottom of the pot for drainage.

  • Love them!
Great river stones. Put them in my planters' dish so not to over water plants.

  • Pretty AND functional
I'm sure this product has a functional purpose as described, but I have to say that I just love the decorative look it gave to my houseplants! Absolutely worth the purchase just for the look. No more bare dirt, yay!!
