Motor arrived sooner than expected and was packaged very well. It bolted up to the mount on my craftsman contractor table saw without modifications. I had to change rotation to work on my saw, which was very easy to do, following the wiring diagram supplied, and printed on the motor casing. Once it was wired for my saw, I put it to use. This is the second one of these motors I purchased. The first went on a lazy Delta drill press and improved it dramatically. So I thought maby a new motor would help my lazy Delta table saw. What a difference!!!! This one hp motor is so much more powerful than the Delta one hp motor. I am ripping 5/4 one hundred year old barn woon that is tough as nails and now I can feed it in so fast and it just takes it as fast as I can feed it. ... show more

We installed this on an older bandsaw, and were looking for an inexpensive 3/4 HP motor. I think it’s a good motor for the price, and was not looking for a top-of-the-line unit. Installation was easy, and the motor runs fine. I would like to note several things that may or may not be an issue. 1) The capacitor is on one side of the motor, but the box holding thr wiring and overheating switch are bulky and on the other side. On some older woodworking equipment the box for the wiring will be in the way of the equipment. (It was for us, and required a work-around). 2) The mounting bracket is a bit thin, and not quite as long as I needed. For some equipment you may need to use a intermediate plywood mount. 3) when wiring, you may need to reverse the motor direction. If so, a clearer diagram has showing which wires to swap would be appropriate. it did not take long however to get it functioning. ... show more

    • PERFECT REPLACEMENT FOR OLD CAST IRON CRAFTSMAN TABLE SAW 113.29903

The OEM Craftsman motor gave up the ghost in the most stupid fashion, the shaft bent from snugging up the drive belt. Humming began, then intermittent start. Then finally, no start. Hum. Hmm. Took the thing apart and saw the commutator rubbing on the armature or whatever the guts are called. This is the PERFECT FIT and at 1.5 HP, I also bought the steel pulley for 5/8 shaft. That pulley is found here on Amazon. It is steel, has two set screws, and it comes with the square key stock, not a real 'woodruff key' since those have a curved side. That pulley is perfect too for this motor. Exact mount. Perfect. You will need a power cord so buy a new one, 14 gauge triple with the grounded plug 'for tools'. Then you will need a cord clamp / sheath cable connector with the screws so you can mount the cord and anchor it through the knock-outs on the motor's connection box. You will also need two wire nuts and a terminal -- spade type -- for the ground. Get yourself a new belt too. My saw's replacement belt is a Gates PoweRated 6841 / Industry Number 4l410K (1/2" x 41") = 12.5 to 13 mm x 1040 mm THIS HAS EASY TO READ WIRING INSTRUCTIONS on a double-sided, card stock, color printed document with all the models of single and three phase motors. You will easily be able to wire for 120 VAC or 230 VAC. Just read and take your time. If you're an old goat, put on your glasses. Only been running it a few days and if anything comes up, an update to the review will be posted. ... show more

domestic electric motors cost a lot, so i gave the chinese motor a try. as soon as i got it, i put through the paces to make sure it works before the guarantee runs out. no smoking, no sparks etc. it works!

    • Lasted about 22 hours and then burned out .

was instattedd in a blower and later 22 hours befor burning out . replced it with a leeson mort and it runs fine , veevor garbage
