Have a 1965 Craftsman table saw with the original 1hp motor, which quit a few years ago. I've been using another general purpose 1hp motor but at 1725 rpm, speeded up with a larger pulley. This one has so much more power and also correct speed, the difference is night and day. Took me a while to understand the wiring diagram but it makes perfect sense once you do. I bought a 2hp (maybe a bit overkill? The old one was 2hp so that is what I bought. Thing is big..50 lbs maybe! Two things tho: The China people see the rotation from the pulley veiw, whereas we here in the states veiw from the back.....minor thing. Also, I read the comments on this motor and a lot of folks were complaining about the phoney knock outs on the recipticle box saying that ya have to drilll them out. That's not true. Just use a little more umph and they knock right out. They aren't threaded tho, so ya have to use a strain relief with a nut behind in the box. Motor runs just fine with lots of power; dont know how long it will last.... At this point tho, I would buy again, however. ... show more

This installed easily and runs fine. Used it to replace a table saw motor and am happy with the outcome. Time will tell just how long it lasts, but there were no surprises with this and I'm pleased with it so far. I would buy it again.

Great machine for belt driven woodworking tools. Replaced the motor on my 113 Craftsmen table saw and delivers plenty of power. Had zero problem going though 2 inch Alder. It replaced my previous 3HP motor (no longer have a shop with 220V) but haven't notice much difference with this running on 110V

Nightmare with $40 repair by a local professional. Now its smooth ,quiet, powerful. Likely someone had a bad day at the manufacturing facility somewhere in China. We all make mistakes. The wires have shrunk on plastic number bands, 1-9. Mine had two #3 wires and no #2 wire. There is no way to follow the easy to read directions with no #2 wire. The motor hummed ,ran slow then started to get warm without a load. Off to the repair shop it went. ... show more

This motor is made very nice dule capacitors nice construction and I put it thru an overload condition test. I'm using it on a hydraulic airless paint sprayer. I ran this thing under a large load it took 3 hours before it shut down. it ran very hot. I needed to know how far I could push it and was very pleased. under a normal load it ran continuously pushing 900 psi of hydraulic pressure. I have all the confidence in the world that it will not fail under normal use.. I also looked at their pool pumps and other motor. the value for the money is definitely there. I will buy another of their motors or products. ... show more
