I have a large kamado grill that takes effort and time to heat up. This tabletop grill is the perfect substitute for quickly cooking up some burgers, hot dogs, or chicken. It heats up fast, but you have to be careful. Heat distribution is very uneven. The front 1/4 of the grill surface barely gets warm enough to cook while the back 1/4 gets a little too hot. It's small so heat is lost quickly when opening the lid. Regardless, as long as you get take a minute to get familiar with the grill, it doesn't disappoint. It's built solid. It's easy to clean.     • Glamping Grill for a better Camping Experience

I wanted a small portable grill to take camping at music festivals. I looked at other options which were either very cheap, with questionable cooking quality, or expensive (and also questionable cooking quality). I have used a full-sized Monument BBQ grill for several years and have been very pleased with the quality and cooking capabilities. While it is not the cheapest portable grill on the market, I found this table top version was exactly what I wanted and needed. This unit looks great, has nice build quality, and I had several people comment on how posh it looked. More importantly this thing takes campsite BBQ grilling to a new level. I cooked about 5 pounds of fresh King salmon on the grill for our party, and it was as good as using my home grill. Nice charring, grill lines, and even cook quality through the meat. I felt like there were a few spots on the grill that were hotter than others and so you need to rotate your food around a bit - but no more than what I have seen on other grills. Everyone was raving about the salmon meal. Chicken burgers and hot dogs were handled equally well and came out juicy and delicious. Was also very pleased with the cleanup - the stainless makes it easy to wipe down with a bit of water/soap, small BBQ brush for the grill, and a handy slide out tray to catch all the bits and grease (also easy to clean. Nice bonus having the built in thermometer, and clips to keep the lid shut when travelling. I went for the matching Monument cover which also helps prevent scratching in transit & for storing.     • Good quality, but misleading advertising

Overall, I am satisfied with the design and workmanship of this grill. I only deducted one star because of what I consider misleading advertising. The product description reads: "Monument Grills is a company founded in 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia, designed and manufactured by a team of experts in grills. It is a premier manufacturer of gas, charcoal, and pellet grills. Monument Grills' goal is to deliver high-performing grills at a great value." Based on the above, it sounded like they were saying it was made in the USA, but it is not. The box that the unit came in clearly states "Made in China". I was very disappointed in this. Nowhere in the product description did it say that it was made in China. Otherwise, the grill does perform well and was available for a reasonable price. ... show more

The grill is handy, works well and is very portable. It does get hotter towards the rear of the grill and the grates are spaced a little too far apart allowing hamburger patties to fall in between the grating. Over all a nice grill.

This nice little tabletop or tailgate grill came to me used. I bought and paid for new, but the outer surface has water stains so I think it has been cleaned and reconditioned. Not a deal breaker, but I will not do business with vendor again.

    • Sturdy little thing
Size: Portable Grill
This little barbeque has a nice look and a hefty feel. I like the slightly domed lid and really appreciate the "real" LPS hose attachment (hate those portable propane bottles). It heats up very quickly, but the heat tends to concentrate at the back of the grill, so it cooks unevenly. I have partially solved this problem by adding a cast iron grate on top of the stainless grate. The stainless grate makes it seemingly impossible to get the "char" marks that I love so much, and the cast iron grate takes care of that problem as well. I like the slide-out bottom, which makes a lousy cleaning job a lot easier. And, as a nifty little hack, the clips for holding the lid closed during travel also work to prop the lid open a bit when I need to! I wonder if the designers planned that? :) ... show more
