i use this on everything. it's glossy. i use it over clay that i've painted, on acrylic paintings, over painted wood. it seals everything in. this is a good brand, cheap, and a big bottle lasts a good while. it's as adhesive as elmer's glue, not a sub for super glue, but it's super easy to use and i literally use it to seal in most all of my crafts and paintings. the only thing i wouldn't use it for is for paintings you want to keep from yellowing over time - for that you need a UV resistant clear coat spray paint. ... show more

It freaked me out the first time I used it bc it's white and I thought I had ruined her puzzle but IT DRIES CLEAR! The white color actually helps me with making sure that I got glue on all of the pieces. Plus for a big bottle it lasts a long time. (Keep in mind you can’t see the most of what happened in the photo because a lot of it was underneath the items inside the box) I love this mod-podge! It’s great for crafting by and a great sealant! But I’ve never ordered it off Amazon before. I ordered it and it came COMPLETELY exploded everywhere. It luckily didn’t completely ruin the other items in the box and I was sent a new one. There is tagt possibility with all liquids off Amazon but it was disappointing. It was also weird because the seal seemed to be broke intentionally but that is probably me being paranoid and not this items company’s fault. I use it a lot and it is great for dinomasks which is good considering they are plastic. It does dry clear so don’t be alarmed when it goes on white. Overall it’s a great item yet I recommend trying to find it in person! ... show more

Bought this to cover a painting I did with dried flowers and acrylic paint. It worked well but I had to be careful around the flowers since they were delicate since dried. It made my final project very shiny and I can't really see many brush strokes. It made the flowers adhere to the board better as well. It sealed them in the way I was hoping. I initially bought this product based on the word-of-mouth good reviews about modge podge and I had painted a wood nativity set for a friend for Christmas and wanted to glaze it. I ended up using it for a LOT of projects (painted wood, ceramics and painted cardboard/thick paperstock) and it's always gotten the job done. One coat was sufficient for most of my works, I did go with 2 coats on certain things but that was personal preference dependent. Never "needed" more than 2 coats on anything that I painted. It looks kind of white and glue-y when you first put it on which freaked me out at first but it dried clear and did a phenomenal job sealing my crafts. ... show more
