I haven't tried this product on anything that would be outside long term, or anything like cups vases etc. Ive been using it to seal paint on my mini figures, to seal my clay items, and as additional sealing around fine micro dioramas. All of these have worked great. That being said, when I first used it I didn't like it, I swirled it up a bit, applied it. Waited 24 hours, and it was still tacky, goopy, and not clear. However...when I went back a few weeks later to give it another try. After I shook the bottle very very well before applying, it did great, it self leveled, all the bubbles disappeared, it dried crystal clear, wasnt tacky or sticky and held everything in place and sealed the paint. I even submerged it in liquid for my fake display and it held up just fine so far. Its been in this liquid for 3 weeks now and its still looking good. So moral of my story, shake WELL, and it does what its supposed to. Just be sure to clean the rim after you shake it or you'll have a hell of a time getting the lid off again :P ... show more

The finish on my projects was beautiful. Didn’t feel gluey at all, with that said, it works very quickly so there wasn’t time to move things around much as you went along. Overall, I will keep using.

Was looking for a good indoor/outdoor brush on sealer and came across this item. Used it for the first time to seal and shine some painted ceramic pieces. Brushed on the finish and it was easy to use, more watery than other similar products, but a little went a long way. Dried hard and clear, as advertised. These are not pieces to use with water, so can't comment on that aspect of the product. There is a slight smell to the product, but found it nowhere near as bad as feared, based on some other reviews. No worse than many craft products or sealers. Any smell dissipated quickly when using. Clean up was easy with soap and water. The packaging is why I did 4 stars instead of 5. Once the product was opened and recovered, the inner paper liner of the cap sealed to the jar when reopening it. The paper had to be peeled off again and was quite messy. Perhaps a different type of lid liner would not stick to the jar after use. Will be using with all kinds of projects, so looking forward to a.) Seeing product performance on outdoor projects and b.) Seeing if product yellows over time. Overall, so far would definitely recommend. ... show more

I can't send an image yet because I got Maker's Magic about 10pm last night and I just about taped my eyes open to stay up and try it. A learning curve you should mention. The texture is viscous water. A tiny bit goes a very long way. I'm using the gloss and it does need two coats but like I said a little goes a long way. It is not instant dry even with an ish on the end of instant. Finishing right before bed turned out to be a good idea. When I woke, coffee first, then looking over my work, I gotta say I was very pleased. Sure, two coats is better, but not to touch up. The first coat covered evenly. I can't wait to play when I'm wide awake. I work with many types of rice paper in different ways. Some as sculpture and covering a $5 piece of beaten up wood coffee table to cylinders, small packaging, and so on. Nothing is safe. Even the box I keep printer ink cartridges in is a work in progress. Fun, for me it's fun, however, if someone wants to buy a thing I will sell it. Sort of on a sliding scale. I don't buy things to create. If a box is the perfect size to hold Q-Tips, it will be a good looking box, why not. I sitting typing and looking around. I think a used, beaten up used dining room chair could be next. Yeah, I think so. Thank you for changing it up ... show more

So for starters, I have to make a PSA: IF YOU USE THIS PRODUCT, YOU MAY SUFFER A SHOCK THAT WILL ENTER YOUR BODY THROUGH YOUR ARMS AND WILL "POP" INSIDE YOUR CHEST/BODY!! This is not a joke and it did not only happen to me but many other people who unexpectedly opened it without knowing what could happen. When the owner was asked about it, he replied he too had been shocked by the product but found it comical and not a big deal. PLEASE if you or someone you know uses electronic equipment for health, do not open this product without rubber gloves at the least. Smell: It stinks, just as horrible as any other glue on the market, if not much worse, not going to lie. Smells like pure chemicals and toxic fumes, not pleasant or neutral in any way. Streaks: Really bad quality, streaks on wood, clumps up, does not "self level" in any capacity. I thought maybe it was a bad bottle but after trying from a second bottle the results were just as bad. Wood, plastic, ceramic, glass, streaks or clumping were left on all mediums. Sun Exposure: The Sun basically ruins anything that has this product on it. If you live in a sunny place, or anywhere the sun shines at all, don't put your crafts outside without serious testing and something to properly seal and protect. Glue: I tried this on all mediums I could think of that I would usually use Mod Podge and ironic, I know, but it literally failed on every project. It just doesn't hold at all regardless of how long it is left to cure. Wait Time: Had to wait over two weeks just for it to ship, an exceptionally long time. The most disappointing thing overall was how many tries I gave it despite the really scary shock. I felt it travel up my arms into my chest and pop, it hurt and scared me deeply. I hope they fix whatever is causing the issue before someone gets hurt. (the foil embossing?) The best thing about this purchase was that Amazon accepted the return! ... show more
