Nothing bad to say. This thing is rugged and well designed. Just ease into it - wearing too much weight you realize it and start feeling light headed. Ordered an extra set of 6 weights, but it comes with 6x 3 lb weights. Honestly, that's plenty to start with since most other vests stop at 10 lbs., but I wanted to make sure I had them available upfront. Fully loaded you get two rows of 6 pockets both in the front and the back, 24 total x 3 lbs weights you can get it to 72 lbs, which hats off to you if you can manage that. The weights are solid metal similar enough to a bar of soap in size, for a rough approximation. If you're crafty you could probably figure out your own weights out of smooth rocks or whatever but in a bag or something so they don't skip out, the pockets are open at the top and there's one big flap over them all, but smaller things would probably get out - you need to fill up the pocket. The metal bars are coated to not rust, slide in and out nicely, and not move around - they are perfect, just a little spendy. It lays comfortably, very rugged material even for the pockets which apparently isn't very common. The weights are snug in the pockets and have a large heavy Velcro flap that closes over the top - they aren't going anywhere whatever you do in any direction, any force. The shoulders have thick Velcro to attach the front to the back, so you can adjust it to your frame. With standard 6 weights, it held fine by itself, but with extra weights the Velcro would start to loosen up then I noticed the extra straps and double D rings to go over the shoulders to keep it together, basically use the Velcro to get the fitting right then strap it to keep it in place with weight. There are other straps to go around that will keep it from flopping around. Run, flip, jump, whatever - it'll be there for you. The head opening is pretty big, which is a good thing. It lifts on and off pretty easily. Setting it down it folds over in logical places even with the weights in, so it stores nicely overnight. There's no way this would hide under a shirt, but hopefully that goes without saying. Starting off, take it easy and wear it around the house to get a feel for how long you can wear it & how much weight. Too much can make it hard to breathe & make you lightheaded. This is perfect to grow into, take your time and do it smart, this thing will be there for the journey over years, I'm confident. ... show more

This weight vest is good quality. I use it a handful of times a week. It's held up well so far, with no sign of wear yet. It's comfortable to wear. It doesn't dig into my shoulders and fits well due to its adjustability. It's also rather trim. It's not big and bulky. I wouldn't recommend wearing it while doing bench presses. I purchased this vest to increase my workout intensity on the treadmill. I wasn't sure if 20lbs was enough, but after using this vest for about 3 weeks, I can confirm it is more than enough for my intended use. The vest itself is well made and strong. The pockets for the weights are sturdy and I have no concern with them unintentionally opening. With the 20lbs of weight, there are a bunch of empty pockets to add more weight. I distributed the weights evenly between the front and back. The vest is comfortable on my shoulders with just a T-shirt under it. There are two set of front d-rings for the chest strap. One set for those with larger chests and one for those with smaller chests. This allows you to secure the vest as tight as you want. All of the straps and buckles are heavy duty and feel like they will last a very long time. My only gripe with this vest is the ease of putting it on and taking it off. I have a big head and wear glasses and earbuds when running. To put this on or take it off, I have to remove my glasses and earbuds to fit my head through the opening. It's a minor inconvenience, but something to keep in mind if you plan on taking this on and off a lot. I have seen some vests that have a front zipper. That seems like it may be a better design for ease of getting it on and off. ... show more

i love this weight vest. added 20 more pounds to bring the total weight to 40 and i couldn't be happier. I use my vest for cardio and when i hike it goes through some gnarly terrain and it has held up industrially well. it sits perfectly in the middle of your chest and feels just fine shirtless with no rubbing or chaffing. Ive submerged it crossing rivers/creeks, attached my dogs leashes to the front rings, and used at the beach everywhere i go it holds up perfectly and has been one of the better additions to my workout routine no matter what im doing. always strive for more! ... show more

I'm 51 y.o. and just trying to stay in shape. I'm not much of a runner and am worried about knee and hip injuries. But I wanted a way to bump up my heart rate during my workouts without running. This vest has done the trick. I can get my heart rate up higher and faster; and do so at a walking pace. The weight distribution is is great. I have big shoulders, but no problems putting it on, off or wearing for 1.5 hour hikes. And the flexibility to add or subtract weight is a plus. My only suggestion is to put some bright tape across the front and back. These vests look vaguely like flac vests or something that might freak people out. I have bright orange duct tape across mine saying "weight vest," just so people don't get the wrong idea. Would totally recommend. ... show more
