  • Good Camera
I bought this camera for $209 for a vacation I was planning. I think it is good to rate an object proportionately. For example, it is not realistic to expect SLR results from a $200 camera, which I was tempted to do, because of my (high) expectations. This is a wonderful camera for its price. The pictures are very clear (I am very demanding when it comes to pictures, but I want a simple camera to use for a short period), especially if you use the Automatic setting. The videos are very good. The automatic resolution is set to 1280; so, if you want a 1080 resolution, you have to change it. Over all, this a good camera and I love it. ... show more

  • Great camera
So far this camera works like the rest. Some reviews say that the WiFi is an issue. This camera hooked up to my WiFi app with no issues. Disclaimer: Remember when you buy anything that is WiFi you must keep in mind your WiFi strength, if you have slow WiFi you will get slow WiFi on anything you connect and the more devices you connect will slow WiFi down more. I felt that was a need for the WiFi experts that buy devices and complain how bad it is to connect too. The picture quality is good and will compare to any other camera in this price range. Would say all around great for the money. ... show more

  • Nice point and shoot camera, not overly complex.
At 72 years of age, I was looking for a relatively simple camera that didn't require an advanced engineering degree to use. I've only had it for a week but so far I've found it easy to use and comfortable to handle. The only issue I had with it was the battery packed in the box was DOA. After buying a replacement battery the camera worked as intended. I also appreciated that his camera came with all the accessories, including an SD card so he don't have to buy any additional items to use it. So far so good. ... show more

  • Great camera for travel and vacations
I purchased this camera after purchasing a different camera. For a few more dollars, this camera was so much better and easier to use. The stability control coupled with the zoom lens has resulted in amazing images from a great distance. Highly recommended.

  • Great Optics but NOT a bridge camera
While the image quality is impressive this camera gives you the illusion of having control of shutter speed and apertures. In reality the camera has a buzillion shutter speeds, but only 2 apertures.. (the reason you need so many shutter speeds in order to get the exposure correct.. "as the camera see's fit". It does give exposure compensation, etc, but only to a limited degree.. and not low iso/asa settings (film speed). This is just a glorified, large P&S.. If you really are looking to learn shutter speeds and apertures just go buy a used 35mm film camera from the 60's-80's (pentax K1000)... This minolta camera will teach you nothing about photography, as it really wants you to just turn the dial to the pre-set options... On the other hand it makes a good video camera.. (which is my main use for this camera now).. and the audio isn't to bad if you use it for blogging. Also... boot-up time is slow enough that you will not get a good animal photo unless you are powered up and ready to go... If you get this camera it will be a backup to a REAL camera... I guess it's a good enough P&S for $200, but if you really want to learn photography use that $$$ towards a real SLR.... Also... the microphone is terrible... If you are more than a foot from the camera you won't record much sound unless you have audio editing software ... show more

  • Camera was perfect for a beginner photographer
I really like how it captures action shots. I needed a camera to take pictures of my dog as she plays outside. The pictures came out nice and clear.
