This Lafala USB-C mini RC boat is fantastic—surprisingly fast and incredibly fun to play with. It's compact, with both the boat and controller fitting into a package about the size of a beer can. Equipped with two propellers, it offers excellent maneuverability, allowing you to change directions and perform flips. When running at full speed, the boat even shoots water up, adding to the enjoyment. The boat responds to the controller with impressive precision, executing flips, changing directions, reversing, and moving forward smoothly, whether in calm waters or even in slightly turbulent conditions. We even tried it in our spa with the jets on, and it was a blast! My daughter couldn't wait for the battery to recharge so we could have another round of fun. This thing is tiny and that is what makes it so neat. However, because of it being so small and no mass this is strictly a placid water type toy. I.E. Bathtubs, pools, sink or barrel of water. Maybe a small pond. Do NOT use this anywhere there is a current or water movement as it cannot handle it and you could lose your boat. The controller doubles as a boat stand so you can display it on a shelf if you wish. neat design. Also the Can shaped holder it comes in is reusable so you can store it in there away from dust and debris. Control of the boat is pretty straight forward. The boat has two propellers and is proportional controlled. Forward, reverse, left and right. To turn though you have to be holding forward and then push left or right to turn. if you are not pressing forward, and press right or left, the boat will "tumble" The tumbling is a feature, however I wish it had its own dedicated button instead of the left or right singularly. Reverse doesn't really work well, as the stern of the boat digs into the water and in a few seconds it drags the boat underwater. let go and the boat shoots to the service. Kinda cool honestly, but not practical. performance through the water is pretty decent for a boat of this size. it moves through the water nicely and tumbles with ease. Once or twice the boat shut off on me and I had to pick it up out of the water and put it back in. Another reason to keep this close to shore or in a pool and not open water. Now the boat is completely waterproof but the controller is not so keep the controller out of the water. The boat charges in about 20 minutes and gives about 10-15 minutes of run time which is pretty good for its size. I loved this boat and my boys did too, it was way more fun than I was expecting! I figured it was small, how much fun could it be. But the small size is an advantage - it works in the bathtub, in the hot tub, in the kitchen sink, and especially in the kids' figure 8 shaped water table. The figure 8 was the best - the boat would follow the inside wall, then shoot out into the middle and bounce off a pillar, taking many different paths. In theory in a large pool you can steer it with the left and right buttons, but turning is slow as the boat will start spiraling along its long axis, which is also pretty cool. The boat ships in a neat little container, it looks like a soda can - even has a fake, non-working pop top that briefly confused my little boys. They got excited looking at it, as the boat is depicted in full color, so when I opened it, little hands were already reaching. There are 3 pieces inside: the boat, the remote and a little USB-A to USB-C charging cable. Getting started: The charging cable ships stored inside the remote's battery compartment, which was sort of a surprise. The remote also has a little side tab that flips open that says "CHARGE" on it; don't get fooled, the remote does not charge. You need to use a size 0 phillips head screwdriver to release the battery door, then slide it off and drop in 2 AA batteries, which aren't included. This takes a couple minutes. The boat, however, is rechargeable; it ships with about a half charge in it, and when discharged, charges to full in 20 minutes or so. You can't test it out when it's not in water; it has two water detectors, one on the bottom, another on the 'top' in case you're spinning it, and if neither is wet the motors won't run. The propellors are soft plastic but it would be annoying to a little kid to have them chewing his hand or eye or something; out of the water, that won't happen. The boat is rated for 8-12 year olds but my 3 year old figured it out in about 15 seconds and totally had a blast with it. One problem, he really doesn't get why it needs to be recharged, and he gets sad and pulls it out of the water when it runs out of juice; on being told that it needs to sit at the charger he has been known to cry, that is how much he loves it. It's a no brainer though, they make a red one too, and I've alreay ordered one so he could have one charged up when the other runs down! ... show more

This is a really cool, micro RC boat. It works a lot like most RC boats, with the water sensors built-in, so the blades will not move In the air. This one is a little different, because the packaging it comes in looks like a pop can. In shape, and size, just to give you an idea of the size of the product. The remote is tiny, and charges the boat. The whole thing is rather pocket size, and can be carried easily. You never know when you will find a puddle you want to play in lol. great for puddles, or the beach. Very cool Toy, with a great battery life. Even the boat itself is pretty durable, and should last quite a while. Great product, great price highly recommended. It's not broken by the way, it has to be in water for it to work. At first I thought something was wrong when it would not respond, then I read the directions. ... show more
