  • I can see and feel how this is amazing for curly hair
For reference, I do not have curly hair. Instead, I have wavy hair. Really thick and long. Trying these three conditioners, I can tell the difference on how my hair feels. Medium: light weight feel. Easy to spread onto wet hair and distribute to other hair strands. My hair felt clean and soft after. Waves held well. Heavy: I think I put too much for the first time I used this, or I didn't rinse well. The next day, my hair felt stuck together. This is a thick conditioner. The second time was easier when I tried this out. I made sure my hair was really wet before applying this Heavy conditioner. Left on for 10 mins. I made sure to rinse out super well. My waves held really nicely and formed all day. This would work wonderfully for curly hair. Intensive: Thick consistency similar to the Heavy. I made sure to apply this on very wet hair and left on for 10 mins. I like this intensive better than the Heavy. Heavy seemed more thick and probably better for super super curly hair. I like the Intensive because it made my hair just right with natural waves(remember, my hair is not naturally curly). Zero frizz! ... show more

  • Great assortment
I was interested in this brand, but wasn’t sure if the products would work for my hair. I found this to be a great way to try the products without having to buy the full sized immediately. Since I have coily hair, I decided to go ahead and give all three types a try. While they all worked for my hair type, I found that the one for coilies and tight textures was most effective. It provided enough moisture for my dry hair, but didn’t feel weighed down or heavy after rinsing. ... show more

  • Great for all types of curls!
So I tried this product two different ways. There are three different conditioners in it and one is for those that would like to have tight curls, one is intensive treatment and nourishment for coily curls and then you've got a medium conditioner that hydrates and nourishes curly hair. This is what worked for me: On the days when I DO wash my hair I only need the medium conditioner because it gives me just a little bit more amplification of my wavy curly hair. On days that I do not wash my hair I've noticed that I need a little bit more of an intensive treatment so I use the heavy conditioner to not only amplify but hydrate and nourish my hair as well. This is something that makes it easier for your hair to absorb all of the moisture so that you get the total benefits from the product. Definitely would recommend leaving the product on for 5 to 10 minutes to get the best results before you rinse it. I definitely also would recommend rinsing it in cool water instead of hot water to hold in all of the nourishment that it provides to the scalp and to your hair. The intensive treatment is great for tight textured hair that needs a little bit of TLC and I haven't actually used that one yet because I haven't gotten to that point in my hair journey but we'll see! ... show more

  • Expected more
Expect much more from this brand and conditioner. Didnt make my hair soft or make the curls pop. It makes me wonder if its for our hair type as advertised.

  • see which works best for your hair before committing to full size
The media could not be loaded. One of our family member has curly hair and she complains about the type of hair care products at home not being able to manage her hair type. When I saw this brand I had to get it for her. After using this set of three she said her favorite is the medium conditioner. She said it did not make her hair look or feel greasy nor weighed down even more. She also liked the intensive but said to use it a little more sparingly. This set lets you try all 3 types of conditioner so you can find the one that works best for your hair type before committing to their full sized tubes. You definitely get more of your money's worth with the full sized ones (13 fl oz VS 3 oz) but with this one you get variety. We both think the design and aesthetics of this brand is a vibe, and the products itself are wonderful. When I see a unique or cool looking brand I often like to do a little extra research on who is the founder of the brand and wow, I just found out this line of products is by Tracee Ellis Ross. ... show more

  • Great set!
I really like this line, it's so much better than Devacurl. Not drying, and just right. Some of the products are heavier and may leave more of a buildup but depending on how thick your hair is, they may be perfect for you. Now while these are based on the same inexpensive cetearyl alcohol base, they also contain other good-for-your-hair emollients, varying from jojoba (light) to shea (medium) to intensive (avocado) oils as well. This size lets you try what's best for you before committing to a full size. I recommend. ... show more

  • Good way to sample, don't love any
This is a cool idea to allow people to try each conditioner and see which works for them before buying a full sized product. Unfortunately, I don't love any of them. The sizes last about 2 uses if you actually have hair, so they really are sample sized in my eyes. None of them provide any slip for detangling. They all have the same light scent (it doesn't linger) and honestly they all provide about the same basic moisture. I can't see myself wanting the full size of any of these conditioners for my 4b hair. As for those ingredient lists, the medium one has amodimethicone, which is a silicone... The intensive one (seemingly targeting type 4 hair) has isopropyl alcohol.... Other than that the ingredient lists are okay. One thing I found odd is that the ingredient lists become much shorter and simplistic as the curl type they are targeting gets cookies/tighter. Don't know what that's about, but examine it for yourself... Overall, it's a cost efficient way to try the products. However, there are much better conditioners out there with better quality ingredients, obvious results, and ease of use (ie detangling properties). ... show more
