First project was to cut up and remove an old set of wooden steps from the back of my home to replace with metal steps. This little saw made short work of them. Saw cut through the 2x12 boards quickly and with little effort. I also used it to cut up fallen limbs in my yard. I was very impressed with how light and powerful this saw is. Easy-to-use. When I initially opened it up I was not impressed. It is very light weight and made out of the same kind of plastic kids toys are made of. I charged up both batteries and left it for my wife to use. When I got home she had pruned up a tree, cutting some 4” diameter and smaller limbs. I had to try it out. This little saw cut through limbs like going through hot butter. Amazing!!! I gave it 4 stars because I’m not sure how the plastic case will hold up over time. We only used one of the batteries for all this cutting and it still had power to spare. The auto chain adjustment works perfectly. It will be really handy for pruning up my fruit trees and keep me from having to get out my gas chain saw for smaller jobs. So far I like this saw and my wife really loves it (she’s the one that wanted it). ... show more

A complete chainsaw kit. Two batteries and a charger. Several chains and a tiny scrench for chain bar adjustment. I bought this to see if it was better than a saws all for cutting pallets for firewood. I think it will be. I wonder how long these tiny chains might last. Are they replaceable, who knows. The saw rips right through soft and hardwood pallets. I do notice the chain stretching. Will the first chain break? Dunno. It is a powerful little saw, a cute as can be. Easy to use. I enjoy gardening and like to prune shrubs and decorative trees when they get leggy. We do have a Stihl brand pole saw but I wanted something a little easier to carry around. This little guy works good for grabbing those sucker stems from crepe myrtles, lower hanging tree limbs, and zipping off a briar from the fence post. When received, the two batteries were already charged and I was able to test the saw out right away. Very pleased with the performance and it easily cut through a 1 inch limb. It's not extremely powerful and does chew the limbs up instead of a smooth cut, but it works for my needs. Can't beat the price compared to name brand. ... show more

Purchased this unit and went to work right away... its great.. Easy to use, good control with 1 hand safely. Ran into a heating issue when cutting up a stack of hard wood branches (1-4" diameter) as the six inch bar and chain can not dissipate the heat that well. Just modify activity to prevent overheating the chain and bar. Here is the issue... the chain will slack and you have to adjust it. This is done with a bizarre and, in my opinion, idiotic way that uses two small springs and a series of interlocking plates all held together with one small screw into the plastic body. How many times will you be able to adjust the screw with the plastic holding its threads? How quickly will these two week as hell springs get lost or deform? This needs to be re-designed with a set screw that is in metal, not the plastic body, and accessible once the cover is taken off. A properly tensioned chain is critical to the safe operation of a chain saw. Its a sub $100 tool and it shows it in the serious lack of design on this critical component. I would look elsewhere and look closely at the competitors for the same design flaw. Edit: I have 20 seasons cutting firewood in the Sierras with gas saws and blades 18" up to 48". There are two issues a chainsaw requires - sharp teeth and proper tension on the chain at all times. This is the first time I've seen a chainsaw have the tension dynamically controlled by a spring. The teeth on the chain will dull with usage. This will cause the chain to travel slower through the wood and if there is bark, then it will be of different densities which can cause a dull chain to grab and bind. If the chain has any ability to go slack, it will and will come off the main sprocket or out of the channel of the bar. This is why I dislike the spring driven tension design. However, I have obviously exceeded the design specifications for the tool ... as a weekend trimmer of branches or light duty tool for managing a branch pile, it is a great tool and very functional. Keep the teeth sharp (would recommend getting a real file not the one supplied) and the saw will be one of your best tools in my opinion. ... show more

Much better than I expected. Battery life is outstanding. I was able to trim all my trees and shrubs in record time and never had to swap batteries. The chain saw works surprisingly well and is an excellent value. I have 38 acres to maintain with many oaks, elms, and pecan trees that need trimming. With this little saw, I will be able cut quite a bit without resorting to a pole saw or 16 inch gas saw. ... show more
