    • Cuts pretty thick limbs
Lacking in the instruction department and sent an empty oil bottle. So apparently it takes oil but you have to buy it separately and figure out on your own where it goes and how to use it. It does work very well and cuts through some pretty thick limbs. No instructions on any care, maintenance or cleaning. I hope it lasts long just not so sure I'm maintaining it properly. ... show more

    • Good little saw; not for lefties
I have a gas chainsaw that I use every chance I get, but it's overkill when it comes to pruning and clearing smaller limbs and branches. Also, when working on a ladder you want something light that you can operate one-handed. This tool is perfect for those jobs, and there's no preparation involved in using it; just plug in the battery and go. I found it's best suited to pieces 2-3" in diameter, but it'll definitely handle larger if you have the patience. One drawback is that because of the safety feature which requires you to press a button with your thumb while pulling the trigger, it's impossible to use left handed if that's where you need to go with it. Although it has a decent amount of power for the size and weight, the motor is tiny. After a few cuts, it started to smell like a motor smells when it's about to burn out. I continued to work it fairly hard for about 10 minutes past that point and it didn't quit, so maybe it's just breaking in, burning off some residual matter from the factory. I'll see how long it lasts, but I think with occasional use for the types of work it's intended for, it should hold up ok. ... show more

    • A must have tool!
The AIMILER 6inch Portable Chainsaw is a great, must have tool if you live in a house or have a yard to maintain in an apartment. So far, I have used it a couple of times and it worked great both times! I almost got one several months ago but decided to hold off and I wish I would have pulled the trigger pack then, this mini chainsaw is awesome! I had a decent sized bush at the end of and to the side of my driveway. After scratching the side of my truck for the last time, I broke out this fine tool and main short work of the bush in no time! It comes with everything you need including two batteries, two chains, gloves, oil, eye protection and a case. My dad borrowed it to cut a few decent sized branches off of one of his trees as well. As with any power tool and especially a chainsaw, you want to be cautious when using it. I sold my small chainsaw last year, but no worries because I hired someone to take down some larger trees. We’ve had a lot of storms and I thought I’d try this cordless chainsaw to clean up some of the smaller branches. It’s not actually what I’d call a “real” chainsaw, but rather a lightweight or light-duty trimmer. There’s no assembly as everything is ready to go. Reading the Instruction Manual, however, is a must do before starting. There are lots of extras in the hardshell case, including gloves, an extra chain, two batteries, safety glasses, charging jack, etc. I do have my own safety equipment, which everyone should have. There are always hidden gems like nails, fencing, and barbed wire buried in limbs and they aren’t hard to find. This can happen if you are working on anything larger than small branches. I have lot of fallen limbs to clean up, plus a lot of dead wood and limbs lying around. I tried this out in several areas and was quite satisfied with the performance. I was able to get some larger ones by working my way around a log. On green tree limbs, the going will be slower. I’d been using a manual saw for some of this work, but this is a definite time saver. I ended up loving this little saw for the smaller stuff and will be using it a lot. Once again, if you think you’re getting that power chainsaw, simply take a pass.     • Better than the Big Box Stores!
My dad came over while I was using my mini chainsaw and so he wanted to give it a go. When I let him use mine and try it out he said he liked it better than the one he had gotten at The Big box store! It's a heck of a lot cheaper! This one comes with two batteries and a case and other stuff. Plus the power it puts out is awesome! The battery life is surprisingly long too. There's nothing I don't like about this chainsaw!
