I bought a couple Garrett metal detectors and they worked good for what I was doing. But when I got the equinox 800 it showed all the things the Garrett's were not picking up like rings and silver coins. I attached pics of what the Garrett's had missed and what the equinox picked up. If I had known I would of bought the equinox 800 first and not had gotten the garrett at all. All I can say about this is awesome awesome for the money... ... show more

    • I had to return the Pro-Find 15 pinpointer
I thought the pinpointer was broken. After turning it on it takes up to 45 second to be ready to explore. It was very disturbing think it was not working correctly. I returned this item and was disappointed and not clear when or if the item was received and the time to get my refund was too long.

I love my Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector, I have found things just in my backyard that my other detector has missed, this is a solid metal detector. If I had to say anything negative about the Minelab Equinox 800, it would barely register, the only flaw that it has is so minimal, but all the same, the only negative thing I have about it is, there can be a bit of a learning curve when going into the advanced features, but nothing that I have any issues about. Great detector, I would recommend the Minelab Equinox 800 metal detector to anybody, that is interested in starting metal detecting as a hobby. I should have researched the 15 but relied on the fact that it is a Minelab product which was a bad move. Left my carrot home today and took the 15, big mistake. I has no range at all, you literally have to be touching the target for it to respond and a lot of good that is. I consider it absolutely worthless. I can't in good conscience sell it and would feel stupid even giving it to someone. will never understand how a reputable company like Minelab would even release a product this worthless. don't pay extra for it, order one separately after you research it. ... show more
