Overall I’m happy with this filament. I’ve been buying Mika3D for all my “silk” PLA for about 2 years and have always had my eye on this bundle as I don’t use most colors enough to justify buying it 1kg at a time, while 250 gram just isn’t reasonable. This sample pack being a bunch of different colors of 1/2kg is perfect. I will say, some of the colors are a bit odd. They claim it’s their “most popular” though the champagne gold is (the only one that is) honestly kinda nasty. Just a sad, pale, shiny tan. But maybe that’s just my own poor taste in color. It prints well, even at 300mm/s @ 220C, doesn’t have problems with bed adhesion and honestly looks great. It’s always consistent, has good layer lines, etc. One other huge QOL thing Is each bag of filament is RESEALABLE!!! ... show more

Overall good PLA filament. The variety of colors for the price makes it a food purchase, as sometimes you need some colored but don't want to buy (and wait for) a 1kg full spool. However the rolls are not completely air right, so I'd recommend drying them before use.

I've spent the weekend trying to get it to print properly through my MMU and it is constantly jamming and getting extremely poor tip shaping. My other brands, kingroon, elgoo, creality, sunlu, all come out phenomenal with the exact same setting but this stuff is just poor quality.

Excellent product, zero complaints. No problems printing this with the Generic PLA profile on my Prusa MK3S+ which I’ve only had for two weeks. Any first layer problems are your printers fault. The shininess is very nice and metallic. I’ve included a pic of a StrongHero Silk Copper print next to the Mika3d Silk Shiny Copper for comparison. I’ve printed with four of the 12 colors so far. Was concerned about the Champaign as the package did not appear to be vacuum sealed but it printed with zero problems, just like the others. Yes, you’re getting half size rolls but you’re getting 12 colors for what you’d pay for 6 full-size spools, so a fair trade-off, IMO. ... show more

The purple blue rainbow is wildly inaccurate, it has the smallest line of blue that you have to squint to even notice. The print quality is great, but the colors are not as advertised. If you want it for personal use you should be fine, if you are looking to sell products printed in it don't count on the colors at all. ... show more

I have printed 6 colors of this collection and they all printed very well. They are more difficult to remove from the build plate than most other PLA filaments I have used, but once I figured that out it has not been a problem. The printed parts have a metalic shimmer and great color. Fun stuff. Amended: These printed great with standard PLA Cura settings when I first opened them. I did a 13 hour print with no issue. Using the same filament again a couple weeks after it had been opened I got my first ever nozzle clog, lots of stringing, and non-adhesion. I increased the nozzle temperature to 230 and the bed temperature to 60. Used glue stick on the glass bed. Speed at 60mm. Increased the flow to 110%. Not sure which of these things made the difference but it prints great with these settings. ... show more
