Description

The iCrate folding metal dog crate by MidWest Homes for Pets includes all of the features you will need to provide a convenient, safe & secure pet home for your best friend, from puppy to adulthood. This crate includes a divider panel allowing you to adjust the size of the living area as your puppy grows. The plastic leak-proof pan allows easy clean-up in the event of an accident. A strong plastic carrying handle is included for convenient portability , and rubber feet on the bottom of the crate protect the floors inside your home. We recently enhanced the safety and security of the iCrate crate by adding locking tips on the slide-bolt latches to securely lock the door and patented Paw Block, which prohibits your dog from tampering with the door lock from the inside. MidWest iCrate crates also feature patented rounded side clips that reduce possible sharp points to ensure a safe experience for you and your pet. Every iCrate metal dog crate conveniently folds down flat for travel. The 18" iCrate (model 1518) measures 18L x 12W x 14H inches and is suitable for "toy" dog breeds. Please note the term "toy” breed is subjective. For the best fit, we advise that you check the measurements of the dog crate and select a size that will be suitable for your dog's ADULT weight and measurements. Bought this crate to keep blackbirds, grackles, groundhogs, and the local squirrels from hogging the oilers and peanuts. Within 30 minutes the tufted titmice, chickadees, nuthatches, and various sparrow species had figured it out. They are busy flitting in and out grabbing the seeds and nuts. The bar spaces on this crate are perfect size for smaller birds. Eastern Bluebirds and Carolina Wrens are also able to enter the crate. The Blue Jays, Red-bellied Woodpeckers and Mourning Doves can't enter, but there's plenty for them at the other feeders. They are larger and can muscle in with the squirrels and blackbirds. Crate was super easy to set up. No tools required, anyone can do this. Just slide it out of the box and start lifting the panels. You'll see that the main sides fold up into a rectangle. The ends then are folded up and snapped into place. Door has top and bottom latches. More than adequate to prevent squirrels from figuring out how to open the crate door. And if they do, a wire or carabineer will secure it easily. It took longer to carry the packaged crate 100 feet to the patio than to set it up. Seems well built for our purpose. Cannot attest to dog, cat, bunny, etc pet use. We have an AC cover to keep the snow/ ice off the crate (we live in upper Great Lakes). We don't expect the crate to last forever as we are leaving it outside. It looks like it will still last several years outdoors, especially if we cover it. Curious raccoons may investigate so we'll be sure to empty the pan before dark. Fortunately, no Black Bears in our area. We really like that the pan is convenient to slide in and out and it is made of a resin material. Very sturdy. We are impressed so far with the crate. For the price, it's a good buy and helpful addition to our bird feeding hobby. ... show more

I really like this crate and will purchase again if needed. The crate is sturdy and easily put together. The measurements were exact and have enough room for pet. The only issue will be the one latch depending on your pet. It works for my pet and satisfied.

I didn't buy this for a dog I bought this for a kitty. I crate trained her to go in her bed every night at 7:00 and open the door in the morning. It was a perfect size very roomy and inconspicuous behind the chair. It seems well made and the price was great I believe.

Our little Buddy loves his new home. He needed a bit more room as he is growing and now 5 months old. Our little mini schnauzer needed a bit more room than his puppy crate offered and now he can stretch out. The quality is good and it was easy to assemble. I bought the crate for my 4 month old Lab mix. The cage has lived up to every expectation I could hope for. It sets up in about a minute, and is the perfect home for my pup. The cage, is more than sturdy enough for my dog. The bars do not bend or give at all unless you were forcibly trying with all your might to ruin the cage. Breaking it is certainly not within the strength of a dog. The locks function nicely. The cage is easy to transport and collapses easily if you ever need to store it some where. For the price, you honestly will not find a better cage. -Very Sturdy, yet Inexpensive -Locks function perfectly -Sets up and breaks down very easily -Easy to store -Doesn't come apart once set up You will not regret this purchase! ... show more

Even tho' my new puppy isn't a fan of her crate, I certainly am. I love that it has a divider that will help her crate grow with her. I'll give her more room as she needs but right now it's the perfect size. It's very easy to put together & keeps her safe while I'm at work.
