Features

  • 2-WAY RADIO: The 15-Watt MicroMobile is a two-way radio device that operates on GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) frequencies. Its 15 high/low power channels provide increased range, Clearer communication over a longer range. Its channel scan allows you to search for active channels in the area. The MicroMobile is used for activities, such as camping, hiking, hunting, outdoors, and business. Its compact size and easy-to-use interface make it a convenient tool for communicating on the go.
  • GMRS: The GMRS channels used by the 15-Watt MicroMobile walkie-talkie are licensed by the FCC for personal and business use. These channels have a range of up to several miles, depending on terrain, weather conditions, and obstacles in the way. While a 40-mile range may be possible under ideal conditions, it's important to consider terrain and other factors that can affect the range of the radio in use. For best communication, it's best to test the range of your radio where you plan to use it.
  • PRIVACY CODES: The 142 CTCSS/DCS privacy codes of the MicroMobile walkie talkie allow you to select a specific code to use with a particular channel, which helps to prevent unwanted transmissions from being heard on the same channel. This provides a level of privacy and security for your communications, especially in crowded areas where multiple radios may be in use. Use silent operation to turn off all tone
  • NOAA WEATHER SCAN + ALERT: NOAA Weather Scan will automatically scan through 10 available weather (WX) band channels and locks onto the strongest weather channel to alert you of severe weather updates. NOAA Weather Alert will sound an alarm indicating that there is a risk of severe weather in your area. NOAA Weather Radio will also be used to broadcast AMBER alerts for missing children.
  • MIDLAND MICROMOBILE: Take your radio range to the next level with the most powerful GMRS two-way radios on the market. These compact radios bring reliable and versatile communication to overlanders, off-roaders, farmers, RVers, and others. The MicroMobile is compatible with all Midland FRS/GMRS walkie talkies. Whether on a hunting trip, exploring outdoors, or working on a farm, the MicroMobile can help you stay connected with your team or family, even when you're far from civilization.

  • Great radio for the price
Style: Two-Way Radio
I bought this GMRS radio to replace my CB that I used when off-roading with my Jeep club. The radio was east to install and also easy to use. I was surprised at how small the body of the radio is compared to my old CB. I installed it between the two roll bar tubes that run from the front roll bar to the rear. The radio works great, has good range and the speaker works ok. I do find it a bit hard to hear when there is noise around me but my hearing isn’t the best. I plan to run a cable from the radio’s Aux speaker output in the rear to the Aux input of the Jeep’s radio and use that for my auxiliary speaker. Overall for the price and functionality I am very pleased! Mark ... show more

  • Perfect for everyone
Style: Two-Way Radio
When I got my GMRS license 3 years ago I picked up a Midland MXT275 and loved it. Since then I have picked up many other radios and have found my way back to simplicity. Are these perfect for SXS/offroading? Yes! Are these perfect for a GMRS beginner wanting to get on repeaters and learn the hobby? Absolutely! Are these good for an avid GMRS user who needs a simple radio to use mostly for simplex on the farm, small buisness, and for traveling in groups? Heck yes! I only have 2 repeaters near me that I talk on and both are on different channels. 85% of the time I am on the radio I am on simplex either on the farm, at my small business, or traveling to with my sxs riding group. This little radio is perfect for what I need. If you were like me with a big bulky over featured radio that you might use 30% of it's features- give this a shot. Sometimes less is more! On top of that, Midland quality is amazing. ... show more

  • Works great as a base!
Style: Two-Way Radio
I use the MTX115 as a base. Had this unit up for a week now and works great. This radio shines when connected to a good antenna. I can reach repeaters over 40 miles away. The MTX115 is easy to operate. Following the manual is a must and keep it handy. No extra channels for diy and no programming for the MTX115, but I use it as a base so the 8 repeater channels are plenty for me. This was an upgrade from using a 3watt HT with external antenna. Great radio! ... show more

  • Effective, basic, GMRS radio
Style: Two-Way Radio
Despite all the youtube reviews I watched on this item, I was still shocked at how small the radio is. I failed to notice that the included magnet mount antenna could not be upgraded, and have since bought a different magnet mount and the midland 6db antenna upgrade. The radio works as advertised, the only down side is there are channels missing compared to other GMRS radios, but those are low power FRS channels. Has repeater functionality if you have repeaters in your area. The mic is impressive, feels very solid. I wish you could change channels from the radio itself vs only on the mic, but that is absolutely manageable. Good radio for the price, the only better cost to value is handhelds and you lose alot of range. Radio can be mounted and dismounted quickly and easily to swap vehicles. I think I'll pony up for a more feature rich radio but this midland isn't going anywhere, I'll likely put it in my car or my sons truck. I think it would be great for my car with the small size and discrete antenna. I will also say this, if you are purchasing this radio, I would go ahead and get a external speaker as well, thats not a knock on the internal speaker, but if your vehicle is noisy at all or you are slightly hard of hearing you'll appreciate an external speaker. ... show more

  • This radio can be a valuable tool.
Style: Two-Way Radio
I have been using this radio, paired with a nagoya ut-72, for 5 years. It's small in size, but isn't lacking in capabilities. I have it installed in my jeep. I am able to use repeaters as far 40 miles away. The built-in weather radio receiver is an excellent addition. The only gripe I have: the weather radio doesn't have S.A.M.E. technology. As a result, should one choose to activate the weather alert function, the alarm will sound whenever the local noaa transmitter issues alerts for any county in its broadcast area. The gmrs radio band is taking off across the country. It, along with c.b. radio, is ideal for anyone who wants reliable communications. ... show more

  • Range further than expected
Style: Tractor Bundle
Bought one for each of our polaris rzr trails so we could keep in contact when out in the woods. Cell service is very spotty where we ride and can't always get a call off exactly when needed. While we couldn't reach quite a far as anticipated, it is some very dense scrubby section. We could reach over a mile with very little static even with the antenna mounted below roof level because of low hanging branches. Near the back area it would go over 2 miles with less scrub between us. Can't wait to get out on the dunes with them. Small size made it easy to find a spot to mount it as well. ... show more
