The media could not be loaded. I bought this microscope to use for my aquarium. Identifying different types of algae, fish diseases, etc. I'm a doctor and throughout my years I've used some *very* nice microscopes running in the tens of thousands of dollars range. It would not be fair to even try and compare this to them. So I'm basing my review on what I think a microscope of this price range should be. With that being said, I was honestly a bit surprised with this thing. The image is fairly clear. It feels fairly sturdy. It comes with some cheapish accessories like plastic slides and slide covers but they honestly work fine. I can easily visualize algae on the cellular level, Identify different microorganisms like copepods, and plankton. That's all I really wanted and this allows me to do that perfectly. The cellphone holder it comes with is also a nice addition. It allows you to easily take pictures and videos of your slides. ... show more

This microscope is great for a beginner or intermediate. I am not sure about advance because I’m not advanced. I had a great time with my children working with this microscope. We looked at a whole bunch of different things. It came with an adapter for the phone, which is really helpful. This microscope is just ok. It definitely not the worst, it is a stiff to use the up and down dial, and it seemed to be hard to see the specimens because the cover glass is plastic .
