Yes, the plastic connections are fragile. Here’s how I kept from breaking the delicate plastic assembly. 1. Use vaseline to lube all connections prior to snapping them together. 2. Hot glue and or zip-tie the mouse ladder sections together & zip-tie the ladder to bucket, drilling as required. 3. Peanut butter: a tiny amount on step #2 of the mouse ladder, a tiny amount on roof & both inside chamber walls. A tiny amount on the trapdoor 3” into the chamber. Yes, this took some time to modify this $10 mousetrap but what do you expect for $10? -Lube connections/ hot glue/ zip-ties make this flimsy plastic trap into a solid functioning mouse trap. ... show more
