Wonderful product that is easy to install. All of the tools necessary (except for your drill) are included. One note: drill a smaller ”pilot hole” before using the included drill bit, for easier cement installation. Look great and well made.

Product is sturdy and well packaged. Install is straightforward however there could be a couple of minor improvements. 1) The supplied concrete anchors use a flimsy looking sheet metal shield to lock them in the concrete. I would prefer they were a typical redhead style . But I understand the use of bolts in order to fit under the baseplate cover. I do not know how well they would last in am exterior application. 2) The provided 10mm drill bit is rather short for drilling through the baseplate holes and is designed for an SDS Max drill instead of the typical SDS Plus drill. I wasn't even aware that you could get a 10mm SDS Max drill. Fortunately the supplied anchors worked fine with a 3/8" hole. 3) The top bracket is more than 3 1/2" tall. If you're installing into blocking, it would be better to have a 2x6 or you can redrill the lower hole in the top bracket. 4) The top bracket attaches with a stud and two cap nuts. It would look nicer to use the swivel bracket's Chicago screw. All minor issues. The product provides a secure handhold at a low price. I will use it again if I need another. ... show more

We just needed a small rail for steadying on a two-step rise. This rail fit the bill. Included instructions made it pretty simple to install, and it's more sturdy than I thought it would be. Looks nice, too. Planning to get one or two more!

This is a review for the black 3-step railing #B09K4XHTWZ. It is probably appropriate quality for the money - if you want a "really nice" railing, you'll want to spend more money. It is aluminum, however I could already see very light rust on the inside of one of the uprights. It is very sturdy once installed, but the gauge of the aluminum is definitely quite light and the screws that hold the railing in place are typical cheap hardware. Regarding the concrete wedge anchors: Mine were 8mm and came with a masonry bit that is NOT designed for a hammer drill (plain, smooth shank, not the 4-flute design my Bosch hammer drill uses). I couldn't find any available hammer drill bit in either 8mm or 9/32, and 1/4 was too small and 5/16 was too big; so I pre-drilled all of the holes with my 1/4 hammer drill and then finished them with the supplied 8mm masonry bit and my screwgun. This worked fine and was a quicker and easier way to do it (using the hammer drill). The supplied wedge anchors were pretty cheap quality as well, if I were to do it again, I might buy better anchors at the hardware store. You get what you pay for, and the quality of this was about what I expected for what I paid; and it seems pretty sturdy upon installation. I need another railing for another house, and I'm unsure if I'll buy this one again or try to find something better. ... show more
